Replacement of dated detectors.
Easily installed with multiple hook up adapters.Didn’t work for me as I had to make new connections due to the compatibility of the old detectors but at least they tried.

Reviewed a previous order for this exact smoke detector. Great product at a great price.
Needed a replacement for my old Kidde model. I can't remember if it was a 1272 or 1275. Regardless the plug pattern was the key. My hardwired female end is triangular. The Kidde website recommended this model as a direct replacement. They were right. I only had to change the ceiling mounting frame. Quick and easy. Love the convenience of the battery being on the outside surface. No more dismounting and unplugging.

Good but not perfect
Batteries are double As and require dismounting to install them. The order comes with a wire adapter so it is easy to install. No wire nuts, soldering, etc. Lost a Star because battery replacement was different than what is shown. I am buying 3 more

Good replacements to install every 5 years.
We change these out every 5 years. If we don't, they seem to start throwing false alarms. Since it is recommended to replace them every 5 years, I'm okay that they start acting weird after 5 years. We like them. Easy to install and last long enough.

No false alarms
After putting in those ten-year detectors that go off often for no reason, I replaced them with these. No more false alarms at 3 am with these. They just quietly do their job. Removing the old and installing the new was a breeze.
