Q: The lowest point of my desk is 28". I am short (5'1"). Normal task chairs, even w/ padding, are too short. At lower heights, would this chair work?

I think the lowest setting on the chair is about an inch too high, puts all the weight on my butt rather than distributing it...also, at the lowest setting, (21-ish), my feet are flat on the floor...I'm 6'1". I'm thinking that, at 5'1", your feet won't touch at all.

Q: What is soft thread leather?

Beats me. "SofThread" is a Hon term, really only relevant to THEM. Having the chair under me right now, my guess is that it's a really good, soft, FAKE leather. Otherwise, it seems the price would be much more. It's a nice texture...designed to make the product seem more "high end", since that's the only reference in context. For all I know it COULD be real leather...(maybe that's code for leather from...???).

Q: Can you raise the height of the chair while you are seated?

No you an only lower it while sitting. You have to take your weight off it to let it raise.

Q: The chair keeps lowering on its own. Any solutions?
