Bosch Cordless Vacuum Cleaner UniversalVac 18 (without battery, 18 Volt System, in Carton Packaging)

GREAT little vacuum. It’s light and easy to pop together. It comes with a few attachments that would do most jobs you need around the house. I don’t have any carpet, so it makes going over wood or tiles floors a doddle. So much nicer than getting larger vacuum out. The battery charges quick and lasts ages (bought separately, but can be used with most Bosch cordless tools). It has great suck & pretty quiet for what it does. I really rate this vacuum for keeping on top of vacuuming so it does become a chore.

Committed to the Universal18v Bosch system and this is another very high quality item from a reliable brand. Registered for 3 year guarantee but do not expect any problems. Bosch stuff is always a bit more expensive but the quality is just superb. Suction is good for general use around house and car but it is far from what a plugged in vac can achieve. Waste capacity is okay but the filter system needs regular cleaning as it bungs up after a few uses. Suction drops of dramatically when blocked but cleaning it is very easy. Everything about this vac fits reassuringly and I expect it to last for ages.

I bought this as a standalone item with a new 18v 2.5Ah battery but without charger, expecting my existing Bosch 18v charger to be sufficient. Not. However, the good news was that the existing 1.5Ah batteries I already have quite happily drive the vacuum. I emailed BOSCH UK to check for the correct charger, which they kindly informed me is the BOSCH AL 18V-44 @ £35.71 (inclusive of VAT and shipping) directly from them. This charges all generations of batteries, which is a bonus when charging 2 x 1.5Ah, now able to use both chargers at once. Performance is good with powerful suction for such a lightweight appliance. The cleaning tools provided are a bit inadequate, as I found previously with much larger BOSCH canister vacuums. Since I have a good collection of adaptor tubes and cleaning heads saved from many previous brands of cleaner, I customised brush, and open head, attachments which proved generally to be more robust in practice. The older open head accessory works very well on stairs, fitted directly to the appliance with a single short adaptor tube (Amazon has these kits). I would probably never use the flimsy long extension tubes BOSCH included, as it places too much leverage on the unit, and anyway, I have the excellent BOSCH canister machines with customised stainless steel long-reach accessories for such applications. I think this is good value for money, although battery and compatible charger are an additional cost. BOSCH engineering has proved to be very durable, and the electrics are of reliably high performance. Good dust filters incorporated. I chose this model for its small, handheld, close-up cleaning for tight corners, and because it fitted in with existing BOSCH appliances....despite requiring a charger upgrade, which fortunately is now known to be retrospectively compatible.

Great vacuum cleaner!!! Good suction. Not heavy , extension tubes work well, no power loss when using them. Bit noisy, but really that’s what you expect from a little power house 👍

Worth any money, works really good, very useful

Great little hoover - powerful suction from a pretty small body. Solid construction, and replaceable universal battery means it'll probably last forever, unlike other handhold Hoover's. On the flip side the filter gets blocked quite quickly when used for sanding dusts - not great but the filter can be cleaned quite easily with the attached brush head

How this has managed to get any positive reviews is beyond me. It doesn't have enough power, even with a fully charged battery to pick up any kind of dust or debris, and the filter blocks far too easily. Save yourself the money and go and get the Henry out of the van.

Of all the things I've bought from Bosch, this is probably the most disappointing. It does work just fine, but the filters clog long before you can fill the collector, which results in a massive drop in suction. You may be ok with just dust, but id assume you have a regular vac for that. I'm using this for sawdust, brick dust etc and for this stuff it clogs up like crazy. Simple design does mean that this should last though, and its not too difficult to keep knocking out the filter. This can really chew through the 2.5mAh batteries, so I'd look at getting a bigger one.

既にボッシュのバッテリーを持っていたので、追加購入です。バッテリーを軸にした囲い込みにハマりました。笑笑 製品はじゅうぶんな吸引力があり、使いやすいと思います。 吸引力だけでみれば、ダイソンV7、V8の方が上ですが、簡単にバッテリー交換が出来るメリットは大きいですね。 ゴミ捨てもダイソンより楽です。

Ich habe diesen Staubsauger gekauft als Ergänzung zu meinem großen Bosch, der in jeder hinsichtlich perfekt ist, nur für das schnelle Aufsaugen vom Katzenstreu oder herumfliegenden Katzenhaar-Tumbleweed zu unhandlich und schwer. Für diese Aufgabe ist der kleine Boschi absolut ausreichend. Was mich ggü. der Konkurrenz besonders angesprochen hat, war das Prinzip des getrennten Akkus, den man bei nachlassender Leistung austauschen und auch mit anderen Geräten der grünen Serie kombinieren kann. Die meisten anderen Hersteller bieten nur fest eingebaute Akkus, die ich immer möglichst vermeide. Zum Zeitpunkt meiner Bestellung war der getrennte Kauf vom Gerät und dem Akku günstiger als das Starter-Set mit beiden in einem. Ebenso, wenn man schon andere grünen Geräte und dafür den Akku hat, kann man gut sparen indem man nur den Staubsauger kauft. Der Vergleich mit dem Handsauger von Dyson hinkt, da Dyson beim fünffachen Preis naturgemäß was ganz anderes ist und viel mehr Leistung hat. In dem Preissegment hat aber auch Bosch eigenes zu bieten. Dieser Staubsauger ist ganz eindeutig ein Zweitgerät für kleine, kurze Aufgaben und Bereiche, für die sich ein großer, kabelgebundener Staubsauger nicht eignet. Auch mit dem langen Rohraufsatz reicht die Leistung vollkommen aus, um groben Katzenstreu aufzusaugen. Wenn diese Leistung nachlässt ist es oft nötig, nicht nur die Staubkammer zu leeren, sondern auch den Staubfilter ordentlich auszuklopfen, da er eine relativ kleine Aufnahmekapazität hat. Wenn er voll ist, wird der Staubsauger oft streiken und nicht mehr angehen wollen. Aber die Reinigung dessen geht ganz einfach und danach saugt der Boschi wieder mit voller Wucht. Ich finde ihn für die Saugleistung angenehm leise, was ich auch vom großen Modell gewohnt bin. Das Gerät ist gut verarbeitet, im Gegensatz zum Dyson ist der verwendete Kunststoff viel robuster und stabiler, vom Design her sieht es aber eher nach einem Garten- als Haushaltsgerät aus. Dass er recht schwer in der Hand liegt ist vor allem dem Akku geschuldet. Mit dem Akku kann man den Sauger im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Handsaugern vertikal aufstellen und platzsparend verstauen. 20 Minuten Staubsaugen am Stück laut Hersteller kommen hin - ich verwende ihn meistens täglich nur für einige Minuten und lade den Akku einmal die Woche auf. Wenn man ihn für längere Arbeiten bräuchte, könnte man einen Zweitakku anschaffen und diesen abwechselnd verwenden, während der andere aufgeladen wird - noch ein eindeutiger Vorteil ggü. den fest eingebauten Akkus. Alles in allem bin ich mit diesem Gerät - wie mit jedem anderen Gerät von Bosch in meinem Haushalt - sehr zufrieden. Wenn man schon andere Geräte aus der grünen Serie und dementsprechend den Akku hat, sollte man sich nicht weiter umschauen und zu diesem Staubsauger greifen. Es ist ein sehr guter Zweitsauger, aber auch in einer sehr kleinen Wohnung mit glatten Böden könnte er die Aufgabe eines Hauptsaugers erfüllen.
