Walker Edison Orion Urban Industrial Metal Double Over Loft Bunk Bed, Full Double, Black

My teenage daughter and 8 year old daughter share a room. My teen was begging me to move her out or make her disappear. So I decided on this product that not only moved my 8 year up (which she loves) but it also created much more space in the room. My teen placed her bed right under, not parallel but perpendicular to the top bed. She is able to sit up from her bed and not hit her head on the bed above. She loves it. The frame is sturdy, I had my 238 lb nephew jump up to see if its okay. It really stood the test. It does not rock or squeak...but that might come with time. The ladder is not padded and can hurt a bit but its not that bad of a thing to not give 5 stars. Assembly took about 2 hours. That is with help. You do need two people to tackle it. If you do it alone you do have to work on the floor for leverage and pole placement. The longer side rails did take time to place. It was a very tight fit and it took some strength to pop it in place. Once that one was in, the second rail fit easier. All in all, it was as expected on assembly from other reviews. My girls are happy and it really is a solid full size loft that can totally support an adult if need be.

I'm a grown woman living in a studio and having this bunk bed really opened up spaces for me. It does wobble when you get on it but this is to be expected, as far as I remember, any bunk I climbed on wobbled. It still feels really sturdy. The only bad points in my opinion is how thin the ladder bars are (I added pipe insulating tubes on them, as another review suggested) and how we have to climb over the railing on top. It's a bit odd at first but the more you go up there, the easier it gets.I'm really satisfied with my purchase.Update Sept 2022Been using it for almost a year and I'm still happy with it. I'm over the weight limit if I include the weight of my mattress and I never felt like it would collapse on me. It does wobble a lot but as I mentioned before... any bunk/loft bed would wobble.My Biggest con is how hard it is to change the sheets. It's a workout everytime

Like the bunk bed. Two hour assembly, one person. It's tall (but maybe my ceilings are short) so we sawed 4 inches off each leg to drop it a bit. Otherwise my daughter couldn't sit up when on top. It fit a couch underneath which i like better than a desk. But that's preference. Climbing up and down easy. My mattress is taller than most (I think) so the guard rail isn't as high as I'd like. My daughter is an active sleeper so I worry she'll fall out. She hasn't slept in it yet but we co-sleep a lot so we mostly got the bed so she could have a couch and space to kick it with her buds. Making the bed is awful but I think that's most bunk beds. My daughter is 10, we will probably keep 3 years & then she'll grow out of it. I don't think it's too squeaky. Overall good price and purchase. Sturdy. It comes with black caps for each post. Came with 7 caps for top & bottom of posts, should have gotten 8.

I’ve searched high and low for a loft bed that 1) was budget friendly 2) had the best reviews. This bed isn’t perfect, but I knew that going in and overall, I’m happy with it and would make the purchase again.It’s not hard to put together, but it is a lot of pieces and will take you a little while. It is what it is. You got a whole bed shipped to you, expect that it’s going to require effort. The pieces are clearly labeled and the instructions are very straightforward.I love the underneath storage, which is why I got it in the first place, because it saves so much floor space in our children’s bedroom and allowed us to set up their homeschool area in the same space. I’m able to fit their toy kitchen and their work table underneath, plus a few other items.I read the other reviews about the ladder rungs being hard on the feet and to add pipe foam installation. I had every intention of doing so, but haven’t gotten around to it. Honestly, yes, the rungs are hard, but my kids have had it for 3 or 4 months now and haven’t complained. I think they’ve just gotten used to it. So I’m not sure if I’ll go back and add the insulation.The bed does slight rock a little bit when getting in and out. However, one of the rails is off on mine as the bed is pushed up against the wall. I’m sure this takes away from the overall sturdiness, but it’s not a major concern for me. The bed also comes will wall anchors, so if you use them, you’ll be ok.It’s a pain in the butt making the bed, but I’ll sacrifice that for sake of having a loft bed and keeping my floor space.Overall, I’d say this bed is a solid 3.5/4 stars. I have a hard time purchasing anything that isn’t a 4.5 or higher, but compared to the other options I’ve seen on Amazon, I’m pleased with my purchase.
