It held a 1500 piece set we bought almost to the brim. I love how these stack perfectly together and have the lid overlap the bottom piece the entire length of the container sides (see pic). These won't spill like the flimsy yellow Lego block that "Lego Classic" blocks are being sold in. They would be perfect for a gift box, or storage of ANY toy. They are nice looking enough to have in a living room, or at grandparents house. They ended up being much larger than I expected, despite me reading the specs for dimensions... Which isn't a bad thing. Overall, pleasantly surprised... And I kinda want to order a few more. :) These are also more sturdy and better quality than the plastic tubs with lids that everyone has from Target or Walmart (usually clear bin with blue lid, or holiday colors) that sometimes are used to store toys in closets or under beds.
