Good quality
I am a tea drinker and now I don’t have to use my cattle anymore . This mug with the star her and the cover lid is proving to be useful to me already as fall season started . The tea stays hot for longer time with the lid on. It looks great too.

Weak Tea
I've had this cup for about a month, and there's no doubt that it's cute. The handle makes it easy to hold, too.Right away, I noticed that the tea I made in this cup cooled off faster than in other cups. Because I ordered some brand new teas around the same time, it took me a little longer to recognize that the tea brewed in this cup was consistently weaker, too. Finally, I did a side-by-side test, as you can see in the picture. Using a lovely, spicy oolong, I steeped tea in two different cups simultaneously. I also took their temperatures, using a quick-read digital thermometer.I put boiling water (212 degrees) in both cups. Unless you have prepped your tea cup with hot water, ALL hot water poured into a room temperature cup will lose heat, but this cup lost more heat. The initial read was 196 v 199. Five minutes later, the water in this cup had cooled to 173 (vs 178). So the tea in this cup did not steep at as high a temperature as the tea in the other cup.I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture or not, but the tea in the left cup (the Sweese cup), is very slightly paler. This is odd, since the cup is very slightly pink inside, and the one on the right is white.A side-by-side taste test finally confirmed a not-at-all-subtle difference in potency. The tea from the Sweese cup was weaker. Some people like weak tea, so this might not be a deal-breaker for you. It is for me, and I won't buy another oen of these cups. In fact, I'm permanently removing this one from my collection.

I've had this mug for 2 years now...
I have this mug in mint green and it is definitely mint, not turquoise. None of the gold writing has worn off at all. I use it 2-4 times a week, no babying, wash in the dishwasher. I actually wish the turquoise was still available as a Christmas Gift for my sister who loves mine. The lavender looks a little periwinkle which may suffice for her. Someone post a picture of the lavender please :) . It is always nice to see it in 'real life' versus the advert. Perfect size too. I don't microwave my tea water so that is a non -issue for me. The lid helps keep it warm and also is handy to put your tea bag on. I love it.

Pretty ok
I got the version that has gold on it knowing I wouldn't be able to put it in the microwave. Unfortunately, that also means it doesn't really work well. It's cute and everything but my drinks still get cold super quick. Luckily I have a cup warmer but if you're gifting one to someone with the gold on it? You NEED to get them a mug warmer. I find the lid slides off quite often and doesn't have the right sealing ability to stay put. I've made ceramics by hand that had a better fit.Overall though I'm happy with the mug. I absolutely love the basket it came with and would love to be able to buy just those separately, that's the best part of this whole thing.
