I wasted a piece of cable before I got used to it. Remember that when you do projects with this cord! Otherwise it's fine, after installation it looks quite sublime. You can barely tell it's golden as the color is non-invasive. It blended with my wood color and that's the effect I wanted, natural but not rustic since my chandelier is handmade/rustic and I wanted something to highlight the craftsmanship and the imperfect look of the shades by hanging them on opposing very sleek cords.
