HENCKELS Forged Premio, 8-inch Carving Knife, Black/Stainless Steel

Husband received this as a Christmas gift from one of our sons. He loves this knife. The price, quality, easy to handle are excellent. Would recommend this knife.

Low-end Henkel, but still durable with decent stainless - will last years if you sharpen over time (not just put an “edge” on it).I bought the knife for meat prep, which I do infrequently. I’ve trusted Henkel for decades, even the less expensive “one offs” like this. The knife makes easy work of any meat I’ve prepped including game. And myself. The edge is truly high quality, but I would not use it after waking if you haven’t had your coffee. Yours truly lost a piece of thumb, which I didn’t feel. Sharp. Very.

Cut my Christmas Roast beautifully.

I purchased a 18 piece knife set earlier and it had 3 open slots ja henckels had 2 of the 3 missing knives and amazon had 1. the quality is great but I wound not put them in the dishwasher. I read the sheet that came the set and read some of the reviews. I took a risk and bought amazons last warehouse deal. the report stated the handles had blemishes. when I opened the box I found open boxes containing steak knives and regular knives still in plastic bags with paper sheathes. there were no blemishes found. someone just sent them back. great for me.

Bought this knife to add on to a J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio knife set. It is a high quality knife with a good feel and sharp cutting edge.

I was astonished at how nice these were for the price. They are extremely sharp -- and I thought I was keeping the old knife I bent (dumb...) pretty razor-like. They have a nice heft, but knifes are like coffee cups--you need to hold it and use it and your spouse might love one you hate and vice versa. At this price, you can afford to try one and if you don't like it, give it to a deserving young cook!
