Likes:-Material for laptop feels premium. Screen is sharp and keyboard is pretty good for a laptop.-Decent price to performance for a laptop.-Decent battery life.-Touch screen response well to both touch and stylus.-Audio quality and volume is pretty good for a laptop.Dislikes:-Hinge on screen is angled on day 1 upon arrival. Seems to be a common issue when googled.-Screen has terrible color gamut. Reds dont seem as red. 6 bit color only.-Comes with pre-installed unnecessary "bloatware(s)" like hp's own system manager/driver managers, anti-virus (McAfree) that are worse than windows 10's own version of them.

The laptop is really good, it meets all of my expectations and looks nice. But, it was not the model pictured on the product page and instead likely a previous generation model with the same specs. It was also evident that the laptop was refurbished, as it only had 9 months remaining on its 2 year warranty. Recommended overall, but do take note.

So, out of the box, this product makes static, or "popping" noises - usually right before audio is about to play or if I move my mouse cursor (finger) back and forth across the screen. I've made sure to install all driver updates for the audio, but it is still happening. Oh, and the internal microphone doesn't work.So, good news, after a brief (30 minute) online chat with HP they were able to fix the issue. It required updating the bios, uninstalling the video/audio drivers, rebooting, downloading new drivers, installing the new drivers, rebooting, and voila, the speakers and microphone work.So, overall, this computer is super fast - and I feel I'm going to be very happy with it; however, out of the box, it ABSOLUTELY should not have had these kinds of problems.

I woke up on the second day and my laptop started having static glitches on my screen! I was super careful with it. Didn't run any heavy software. After a while with the glitches it kept blacking out after I log in and going back to the log in screen. It said it had trouble loading Windows 10. I spent my entire college savings for this laptop to continue with school. Trying to call HP right now, and later the seller. Will update.Update: troubleshooting with HP doesn't work. After operating system update, the microphone and audio system doesn't seem to be working. Would black out occasionally. Does not have a good internet connection. Will be returning this product.

I initially wrote a good review but the webcam on this laptop breaks within a few weeks as others have written. This is a terrible thing in the remote work world. i constantly have to restart it and it may take 5-10 restarts to finally suddenly recognize the webcam. if there is a fix for this i really hope the seller will rectify this.
