TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Extender Dual Band 5GHz/2.4GHz (RE315)

I highly recommend this product. It is super easy to set up. And it does exactly what it claims to do. I have a three bedroom apartment which has a lot of dead zones. The simple set up of this extender made every spot in my home accessible to the Internet. We were able to connect all of our devices to it seamlessly. I’m also glad that it doesn’t have a lot of wires at all. And the functionality of it is pretty simple. I was able to set it up with my smartphone. You do not need any cords or a computer. If I ever run into this issue again, I will certainly buy another.

Been using this extender for about 9 months now without any issues. Have a pair of cameras, TVs, and a few other wifi items at the far end of home that struggled to get decent wifi and buffered constantly. Set this up with its own address loaded the items to it and haven’t had a single issue since. Setup was easy as was connecting items. The one camera watches the driveway and is behind blinds and thick curtains and never got a decent signal buffered constantly. This is in the hall outside the bedrooms so the signal hits both rooms equally - everything works perfectly. I was somewhat concerned about the low cost compared to others, but that concern left soon after things were set up and running. Using a separate address was also concerning, but, items like phones or pads connect as soon as I enter its range so thats not an issue. Very happy with it.

These are super handy, I had a TV that was 2.4Ghz only and would sometimes lag while streaming. I popped one of these in and restricted it to my 5Ghz band, then plugged an ethernet from the TV to this tether, and it has zero lag now. Not 60 days later I had another TV that was only a year old have its wifi card quit on me, so once again I bought another of these little guys and did the same as before. Simple to use, and once it is set up you never touch it again!

I bought this mainly to improve the WiFi coverage upstairs, especially in the bedroom. It definitely makes a difference, and I can get a better signal in places where the connection used to be weak. The only downside is that it's not always consistent. Sometimes the connection is great, but occasionally the signal fluctuates. The setup was pretty straightforward, and I like that it's small enough to plug into an outlet without taking up much space. I haven't had it long enough to say much about durability, but so far it's been useful. Overall, I'd say it's a decent little extender, just wish the connection was a bit more stable.

I’ve used Tp-Link in the past. I recently made the mistake of buying a different brand of extender. Tp-Limk is the only extender I will ever buy again! Amazing product, extremely easy set-up (took me less than two minutes), strong connection. Perfect product and great pricing!!!!!

I bought this for my mom, to extend the weaker signal at her retirement community. - I tested it at my home, setting it up as an extender for my tp-link main router, not an access point - easy setup, seemed to function well - BUT!!! When I did a factory reset, not only did it reset the extender, it also RESET MY ROUTER. I had to set up my main router from scratch again, a painful experience. I’d documented the WiFi SIDS and pwds so resetting those things got me back up and running. BUT!!! This should not have happened. Bug in the software. PS: Should have mentioned, router model Archer BE400

Easy to set up: Download the app, create an account, plug the unit into a wall outlet and that’s pretty much it. I will warn you that it creates a new/different WiFi network, so when you’re in the dead zone you’ll have to go into your WIFi settings and select the new network. My dead zone was in the attached garage where I had no WiFI signal and my iPhone switched to 5G. Now I have full strength WiFi in the garage. Our Peloton (also in the garage) went from 2 out of 4 WiFi bars to 3 out of 4 bars. Not sure why it’s not 4/4, like the iPhone, but still an improvement.

Is not working

Highly effective at fixing home dead zones. Setup took under five minutes using the Tether app, and the smart signal light made it easy to find the perfect wall outlet placement. It keeps all my smart home devices stable and connected. The only downside is that the plug design is bulky and blocks the second wall outlet. Highly recommended for a fast, affordable Wi-Fi fix!

Desde la instalación hasta el funcionamiento. La instalación es muy sencilla con la app y algo de ayuda con AI. Pero igual incluye su instructivo. Tenemos una casa de dos pisos, y el módem se encuentra abajo. Lo coloqué en un tomacorriente del segundo piso que está casi encima del módem. Lo compramos, porque en un dormitorio del piso de arriba no llegaba la señal wifi para una Smart TV, y ahora funciona perfecto! Se generan dos señales adicionales que emulan las dos originales (2.4 y 5). Y de verdad amplifica bastante la señal. Antes nos llegaban recién dos rayitas, ahora las cuatro! Muy contenta.

Very happy with my purchase. What i like about this wifi extender is that you can change the passwords within the Tether app, something you cant do with the cheaper models. Would buy again if required
