I use this at work in surgery. It takes lids off medication super easy. If I had to change anything it would to be making it less heavy.

This works well for removing the metal ring from medication vials. Easy on the wrist for use.

I bought this to cut the foil on my 13mm vials. I could not get it to work. I squeezed but not too tight or I would break the glass. But still pretty tight! I was able to twist the vial while squeezing with the pliers so that the blade could cut the foil, but it did not cut through. It only made an indent. I can see other positive reviews, so I guess it works for some people, but it did not work for me. Either the foil on my vials is thicker than normal, or I'm just not using the tool correctly, but I don't see how else I could use it. There are very expensive tools for quickly and easily decrimping and removing foil from vials, and I think if I really want to cut the foil and open the vials easily and carefully, I'll just have to invest in one.
