The first week on it we had 8 full size adults on the raft, and it gave us no problems. We use it in the bay in Galveston so time will tell what kind of effect the salt water will have. We make sure to wash it off before putting it away. It has cup holders for every seat which is convenient. It came with a floating cooler as well. The mesh liner that comprises the "floor" of the island seems sturdy and durable enough to walk around on it and not worry about punching a hole through. It only took 5 minutes to blow up with a small pump. My only wish is that it came with some sort of attachable rope ladder to get in and out of the water with. We use it tied to the dock so it is rarely a problem, but it could be in the middle of the lake for someone with minimal upper body strength. UPDATE: I have had it for a year and it still holds up to some rough day drinking with 10 people on board. See other comments below. Never drag the float while it is filled with air. Two people can carry it when inflated using the built in handles on the raft but I suggest 1 person for each corner if you are moving it any distance and if it is windy. **Q: Can it go in the ocean** A: We bought it for the ocean and never used it since we felt it would float away from the shore too easily. It was especially wavy where we stayed in Hawaii. **Q: salt Water use, can it be left in the water for extended periods of time? I’ve rays, constant heat and bottom growth. Is there any after market treat** A: I wouldn’t recommend leaving in the water for extended periods, the sun will kill it! We used ours in the tropical sea and washed it in fresh water after two or three hours use per day. There are products available to paint on and protect the material, I can’t remember the name but I did try one and didn’t like how it made the raft feel to the touch. Better idea is to cover after use. **Q: what happens when someone pees inside of this?** A: It goes into the lake or creek or river through the mesh on the bottom.
