Q: Does the stitching inside the socks bother the toes?

Sorry, I don't know. I gave the socks out in "goody bags" at my 7 year old granddaughter's Nightmare Before Christmas themed birthday party this summer, including to a couple young boys! Nobody has complained about them, and my granddaughter wears hers all the time. She's pretty fussy about what she wears so I think she would have said if they bothered her toes. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Q: How do i know which set i'm getting ? (1) the black primary set (colored) or (2) the assorted neutral (black and white) ?

I had a drop down option to choose which colors I wanted; I got the black primary set, which was just as pictured.

Q: Husband wonders how women's sizing works. wife's shoe size is about 8 or 8.5. so is 9-11 (smallest size i see on amazon) even too big for wife?

They should be ok. My daughter is a 8.5 too and they fit her fine.
