## Description

Water lettuce provides a floating rosette of attractive foliage that resembles lettuce. The plants float in ponds and water features, forming dense clumps of leaves. The leaves remain dry while the long roots dangle freely in the water. The plants shade the water and the floating roots leach nutrients from the pond, which helps prevent algae growth. Water lettuce grows naturally as a tropical perennial. In colder climates, grow the plant as an annual or bring it indoors to overwinter. Your fish will love them. They will appreciate the shade, shelter, and food provided. This plant controls algae and increases oxygen in the water. Water Hyancinth are great biofilters. Their long roots provide a hiding place for smaller pond inhabitants. They grow extremely fast, specially with lots of sun exposure. They are 100% chemical free and are fish and shrimp safe. These plants prefer calm waters. Place them away from waterfalls or water currents or they can perish.

I hope they bounce back for they will not be in a pond but a open top Aquarium. Update. They have now been in my tanks for a week and the palnts are still doing extremely well. I will say a T4 full spectrum light has worked the best for these plants. I got added lil bonus too. Each plant had sister plants. I trimmed them off the mother plant so it didn't need to feed the lil ones too. They seem to have bounced back quicker. Ppl have failed only for they did not know how to care for these plants.
Review: Better than I expected - I ordered these since it seemed like a good balance since most individual plants were kind of pricy and the lots had too many for my smallish pond. So I figured I would try this one to even see if they would work for what I needed them to be. I just received them and they look great! I got them very quickly and they are a lot bigger and more mature than I was expecting. The water lettuces are as big as my hand, still has nice leaves and looks really healthy with no damage. Even got one little baby lettuce about the size of my thumb. The water hyacinths do look a bit rough on a few of the pod/leaves but considering each plant has at least 6 it shouldn't be an issue and other then that look really good. I am going to be keeping them in a bucket for the next few days as there has been an unexpected cold snap where I live but will update on if they do well or die once I get them settled in my pond.

### ⭐ Be careful of the 2 hour window

Be careful of the 2 hour window in which to report defective plants. The lettuce was falling apart when I received the plants but I went ahead and put them in my pond hoping they would revive. When they did not, I as told that I was late on the 2 hour window after delivery and the plants would not be replaced as I requested. My advice -- if you order from this vender, report a claim ASAP if there is even the tiniest defect. Don't wait to see what happens with the plant.
