We love it!
This one is one of my favorites and of course my cat likes it too! A lot of products that are similar to this are really bulky and large. I like that this one is smaller than all of the other types I have seen. I do not put a lot of treats in it, so sometimes it takes up to 3 spins to get a treat out. Other times my cat spins the bird once and three treats will come flying out. But I like the inconsistency of that! The feathers really enticed my cat! They are also removeable for easy cleaning. It is super easy to clean and use, which is why I like it so much. Like with any toy, I suggest really watching how your pet interacts with it. My cat is very gentle with puzzle toys. He never knocks them over but this product is very light so it could easily be knocked over by a more food-inclined cat!! My cat has tried to stick his head in between the bird and the base of the puzzle a few times. He doesn't do it anymore though. His head has never gotten stuck but I think it would be possible. Luckily even if that did happen, this product is really smooth and I believe the base would probably just detach from the sticks, so I don't think he would get hurt or anything. But I don't know that for sure so watch out for that and supervise please.I use this mainly when my cat feels antsy. It is a pretty quiet toy so I'm not afraid to use it late at night, it won't wake the neighbors. As you can tell, I really like this puzzle feeder! I use it more often than a lot of the other ones I own. I definitely recommend it.

A good first puzzle but has a few design flaws
We love Doc & Phoebe feeders but this one needs a few design tweaks to be a challenge. The biggest design flaw is how lightweight it is. Our cats will just knock it over and drag it around until all the kibble has dispensed. They have even managed to figure out how to turn the twist top where you fill the puzzle and since it only takes a light turn to open, they pop it off quickly. The holes are quite large so the kibble just spills out with little effort. They spend about a minute with this one before it’s empty and they’re bored.I’ve attached a photo to demonstrate how much kibble will come out of one hole. It may not seem like a lot but when you’re only giving a scoop or two (we use the scoops from our Doc & Phoebe mice) this is actually quite a bit. The other kibble we feed them is even smaller so more tends to come out when we use it.This is probably a good intro puzzle for kitties that are not accustomed to playing with puzzle feeders.

Fail! Not functional without weighted base! (Updated)
The media could not be loaded. Update: As I show in the video, I glued a 1.5lb plate weight and a silicone trivet to the base and it provides more needed resistance. If you go this route, I would go with a 5lb weight instead. My kitten is pretty aggressive. I would have paid $20 instead of $10 to have a real base instead. Still excellent enrichment.Original: I love this. My cat also likes it. However, every time she tries to spin it, it moves. She eats on the table because I have dogs. So she tries to eat, the whole thing promptly gets pushed onto the floor, all over everything, into the water fountain and the dogs have gas. So A+ idea. F for execution. The base is the equivalent of a paper plate. There isn’t even a rubber on the bottom to discourage sliding. I’ve tried stabilizing it but short of velcroing it to the table, nothing has worked. I’m probably going to return it even though we need something like this to slow her eating. Too bad. It’s a good concept.

Good concept but too easy for my cat
I really liked the idea of this toy. My cat is very food motivated so took interest quickly once it figure out it could get treats from it. However, I've had to make some changes to the toy. For one thing, there are too many holes for the treats to escape, such that with one spin my cat can nearly empty it. I have tried to limit these by placing tape over part of each whole to slow down the release of treats. Also, my cat very quickly figured out that if he just tipped the whole thing over most treats would come out, so to fix that, I glued the toy down to a flat cardboard box like those in which cans of cat food are delivered. He can no longer tip it over. With those changes, the toy works fine.

Great cat treat puzzle
I got this for my cat who already has a different treat puzzle that he's gotten too good at. The Twirly Bird was easy for him to learn to use - it took him about 5 minutes after he realized there was kibble in there, but it's not too easy because of where the holes are located. Spinning the toy doesn't guarantee a treat comes out every time, which makes him work for it. My only complaint is that the twist off lid to fill the toy is hard to grasp. It's shallow and smooth plastic, so fingers don't grip it well. Some ridges or a less slick plastic for that spot would really make it easier to use.

Great toy but the design needs work for my cat to fully enjoy
My cat didn’t like putting her head in the small space between the bowl and kibble holder. It’s quite small looks like it’s only make for kittens. She also pushed it around so easily because it’s so lightweight. So I would suggest making it heavier. Making the bowl maze wider & the “tree branch stands” taller so regular sized cats like my 13 lbs Main coon mix will feel comfortable to eat the kibble. Also make the holes adjustable in size to make it easier or harder. She gets the concept but it’s uncomfortable for her to squeeze her face in. If they make a twirly bird 2 & fix all these things I would definitely buy again.

Endless hours of fun for kitties
My two cannot wait for me to refill this toy. They push it all around the floor and have their different methods for getting the treats out! I don't know who has more fun - them or me watching them? The feathers didn't last too long and its a bit fiddly to open but still well worth it.

Cat likes it but it’s very small
My cat figured this out pretty quickly but it’s a nice way to continue to challenge her while also giving her some treats. However, the size of the apparatus that holds the bird above the tray is very small and my cat, particularly while learning, would get her head stuck in the opening so she’d essentially be wearing the treat dispenser around her neck (and thus freaking out). She only uses it when someone is home and watching but I certainly wouldn’t leave it out for fear she might get herself in a dangerous predicament

Broken on arrival
Both Dot and Phoebe toys I bought from this seller arrived broken so I'll never know if they were any good.

Not great for strong cats
Nice idea but we're going to have to weight the base or something as he just pulled the whole thing over and the food all spilled out everywhere
