Brews great tasting coffee!
This is a solid coffee maker. We purchased this in 2023 and are still loving it. We appreciate that it will grind the beans fresh before brewing a pot of coffee, which provides really great tasting coffee. We also love that we can just brew a K-cup of coffee if we don't want to brew a whole pot. Overall, it brews a very easy to drink pot of coffee, not too weak or too strong. You can definitely hear the grinder when the carafe side brews, but I don't feel like it is "too loud"; it's comparable with a standard grinder that would work separately. Be aware that you will have to clean out the grinder with every use. I don't find that it is cumbersome to clean, but it is just part of the routine. There are two water reservoirs, one for the carafe side that holds the amount for a full pot of coffee, and then the "pod" side holds up to 40 oz. of water but has to have a minimum amount (8 ounces I think) for that side to be able to brew. I will also add that we had an issue with the way ours works and I really appreciated that the customer service team was very helpful in addressing this concern. That in and of itself makes me want to continue to work with this company.

Out of the box coffee maker, grinder, single serve (K-cup)
Tested only for 24hrs, at this point- coffee easy to make, understanding the grinder portion- easy, taste of fresh coffee- good.. Easy to follow directions, only complaint and not even worth a deduction, just something to be aware of- the grinding chamber- LOUD... other then that, no complaints, good coffee, does what it's supposed to do. Yes, you have to clean the grinder, but seriously- ok, maybe it takes 30 seconds...and yes you have to either throw out the filter (paper) or clean out the gold filter... I prefer the simplicity in throwing out a filter. Overall- sure, there could be a few things easier (for convenience) but not a show stopper. Removable water reservoir would be nice, water level meter on the kcup side would be nice, quieter grinder... But it does what it's supposed to do, grinds and makes fresh coffee... First product of this type for me (with added grinder) and I can say at this point- yes, I enjoy it, well done, hope it serves for a long time.

Absolutely do not buy unless you have toO
The only reason I bought this coffee maker is because it grinds coffee makes coffee and has a K cup this machine is by far the worst coffee maker I ever ever dealt with. I don’t drink coffee, but my husband drinks a lot of coffee and he likes fresh beans so on the market there’s very few. This is the only one that I’ve been able to find I think we’re on our number fifth of these stupid machines that don’t work for one reason or another either the k cup is exploding. Can you have coffee all over and a huge mess to clean up or the coffee machine itself doesn’t make coffee you want it’s supposed to it’s truly disappointing. I would not recommend this to anybody and I wish we had a bigger selection of coffee makers to choose from, and we weren’t stuck with this piece of crap. So we were returning number six number six has issue with the K cups it’s been exploding now it’s not making coffee at all with a K cup size is absolutely ridiculous. You guys need to do some development or research and figure out how to fix these problems because when you’re charging somebody almost $300 for a coffee maker it should work.

Id honestly give it 3.5 stars if I could
First-it makes a great cup of coffee. Grinds the beans nicely and is easy to clean afterwards. So far it has worked with all pods both keurig and off brands. My only two complaints are the separate water tank for the single cups is not seen from the side like the pot side is -you can't tell how much water is left and it's hard to see the water line inside because it's all black. The second one is the display in front does not light up and is hard to see. I still have not figured out how to make a pot with 8 or 10 cups - it only makes 12 -it could be somewhere in the programming I honestly haven't read the instruction manual all the way through. Still it's a very good coffee maker it's just these little annoyances that I have to get use to.

A few annoying quirks
Makes a decent cup or pot of coffee and like convenience of having the k-cup and pot in one machine! However… filling up the water basin is awful - poor design. It’s especially awful if the coffee pot sits under top cabinets. You have to pull the coffee out towards you a solid foot, almost off the counter in order to open up the top to pour water in and slowly or it will splatter everywhere. A removable water basin would have made so much more sense. Second, filling up the water basin for the k-cup side is also strange with NO indicator to tell you how much water you have poured or have remaining for this feature. Our Ninja Coffee Bar recently gave out, so I wanted a new coffee pot with the double feature but I was shocked to receive a Cuisinart product made of such cheap thin shiny plastic. I had higher expectations of something from Cuisinart & wish I had picked a coffee pot out in person. I would not choose this coffee pot again but for now it does the job - just comes with some poor design qualities.

Don’t do it
In the over 50 years of my life making coffee and using electric brewing devices, this is the only one that is a total disaster. The design execution is poor, cleaning difficult, results unpredictable. It does on occasion make a cup of coffee so the 2 stars. Mine is going into the dumpster today. On the coffee bean side, it is very difficult to pour water into the reservoir without spilling it either on the bean hopper side or the counter/floor. You have an inch or so target area for your pouring. A silicone flexible measuring cup is recommended. The pot is to hold 12 cups of coffee, but the reservoir holds less than 8 measured cups of water. If you spill some water on the bean side, it is very difficult to dry up, but it must be dried or the beans could be stuck together and jam the hopper. Filling the beans with the hopper in place may result in dropping beans in the water reservoir, where they are extremely difficult to retrieve, or around the beam grinder, which are also hard to fish out. Using a standard coffee bean scoop, only 10 scoops fit in the grinder where you would expect it to hold 12, one scoop for every cup of brewed coffee. As described in other reviews, the bean grinder has to be removed, cleaned and throughly dried every use. While one would expect the filter would be cleaned every use, my old pot from the same manufacturer would beep should you forget to empty it. This one does not, which can lead to a big mess to clean and a ruined pot of coffee. While all that can be managed with extreme care and attention to detail, the “K” side of the unit is unpredictable in its operation. See attached pic. It will work for a few cups, and then for no apparent reason, explode into a disgusting mess. Like playing Russian roulette, one never knows when this will happen. Water flows into the pod when you close the top and a hole is punched on the bottom to allow the brewed coffee to flow into your cup. If the one hole on the bottom should plug, water, coffee, and grounds explode all over. Keeping all clean, washing the removable part, even punching multiple holes on the bottom of the pod do not guarantee one will not explode when you least expect it. Lastly, the water tank for the pod side is not removable. So, if you were to use it only occasionally, you would have a cup of coffee using old stale water. You have to unplug the pot and take it to the sink to dump it out to use fresh water. Of course, if you have set up the bean side to brew a pot in the morning, and you want a pod of decaf, that also has to be totally taken apart before you can dump out that stale water on the pod side. Then dumping it out, don’t forget to remove that overflow/drip pan at the bottom of the pod side as it will dump all those nasty dripping all over. Taking the whole unit to the sink and carefully spraying off the parts covered with wet grounds is also the only way to clean up after a pod explosion. So after 5 months of trying to make this coffee maker work, it’s a fail. This whole expensive unit is heading to the landfill unfortunately. Good idea, poor design execution.
