It's a cam can
Brilliant camera, had almost a year now! Filmed quality is brilliant front and back. Download the app connected to camera and download the video's on to the phone and I love it. Settings select 1-10 minutes looping. I found it easy enough and I'm by no means savvy on this tech stuff just basic stuff is my technical knowledge IE find managing android phone easy compared to a computer which I can't fathom. I found it easy to install and operate and the quality is great. K5 installed on Harley Davidson 2021 lowrider s and phone is android Sony Xperia 1 iii. The only thing I dislike that the bike has to be powered on to connect to device. Which if you going to be a while you want to have the bike running which is sort of sensible you don't want a flat battery because camera still operating while bike is parked up. Camera robust take great video's and easy to use when operating Via phone. The WiFi thing don't worry it's not connected to WiFi but it is how your device finds the camera, you Go into WiFi networks on device and innovv5 is located and you connect to camera that way, think of it like Bluetooth but easy sync like you connecting to WiFi. A great motorcycle dash cam definitely get what you pay for,if you have a expensive piece of machinery and if something nasty should happen then having this piece of equipment definitely would help for those issuance cases. Also having GPS camera icons visible on the button is a great theif deterant also cameras can activate if bike is distributed. Again a worthy addition to your precious motorcycle highly recommended without a doubt.

Dash am excellent choice, blogging camera not so much.
So purchased this to install on to my Triumph 1050 ST as the purpose of a dash camera due to the standard of driving currently declining.InstallThe mounts provided will on some bike models limit your availavle mounting positions as will the 4k camera with the inbuilt DVR unit due to it being a little bulky and with a small bundle of short length cable terminals for the various inputs. However, once you have taken these onto consideration and found a mounting place, the install is easy. All cables are colour coded to there respective terminals, with ample cable on the various inputs making routing options plentiful. In the contents of the box are the terminals for the positive and negative cables, however, there is no such terminal for the yellow switch wire, which needs to be wired to a switch activated power supply. Some modern bikes this can be through a canbus manager, but older machines or those without such devices, it would be nice to include a T connector for easy splicing onto such a circuit.Image and Video QualityBoth cameras are OK. The bullet camera boast a 1080p image, which can give clear images, however, at times does become blocky in certain light conditions. The 4k front camera again, gives amazing colour satuations, but again struggles sometimes becoming blocky. Believe this is due to either a bit rate issue or the lack of image stabilisation technology, I am not sure. In darkness both cameras work as expected, sometimes a little lens flare but the sensors respond quickly to changes in lighting conditions, although video on both can become grainy/blocky.Phone AppThe phone app is very easy to set up, connect and install. Downloading through the in built through the 5g WiFi is a little slow, but great in accessing footage when needed. Also great that you can live view to ensure that your cameras are installed level etc.OverallAs a dash camera it is overkill, but great to have should you be involved in an accident. The neat feature of autolocking files following a sudden g shift ensures that footage is save, but there is an issue with this feature. Due to being a loop recording device it may lock save the wrong segment of footage, so be mindful of this. I feel that Innovv were looking to have this device as a bridge between dash camera and blogging camera. The microphone has great sound pickup, meaning commentary of a ride or engine noise would be crispy and clear. Unfortunately I feel the image quality prevents this being a viable blog camera, as better video quality could be captured through a go pro or similar camera, but if you don't fancy having a go pro or other action camera mounted to your lid, then this could be an in between. For me and what I intend to use it for, it is perfect.

Could be great, but just isn't.
I like the idea of the K5. It's a good little device with some interesting developments. However, there are a few issues I have with the camera which mean I cannot recommend this to anyone.1. The camera unit at the front of the bike. It isn't offensively big, but it's obvious. This is somewhat awkward to fit and leads me to issue 2.2. The dash cam records to a microSD card which is held in that front unit. So anyone could come along, undo the thumb screws and take the memory card. Indeed, with just a small twist they could easily take the whole front camera unit. Which leads me to the next point.3. Because of the design of the unit, you have to route 4 or 5 cables to the rear of the bike in order to make it all work. It's 4 or 5 because you can send the excess cable from one of the connections towards the rear in order to conceal the cabling. Routing 4 cables (microphone, GPS, power, rear camera) from the back of the bike to the front is a colossal pain in the neck. I don't recommend doing it. However, professionals could do it for you but they need to be careful because of the next issue.3. Proprietary connectors. Each of the cables has a special adaptor where only the right cable will fit in the right receiver. So there are male and female connectors. This wouldn't be an issue but they are made from plastic with metal screw collars to hold them in place. They are not secure, they are very brittle and are easily broken. If you do break them, you cannot replace them because they are proprietary connectors.4. Lens is prone to chips due to a lack of a protective lens cover. This would be useful.5. Hit and miss quality control. The first unit I was sent had a faulty power unit so the bike's electricity wasn't being sent to the camera unit. I was sent a replacement power unit by David at Innovv free of charge which was great customer service. However, when I installed this power unit, the rear camera stopped working. There are only so many times I am prepared to (or able to) disassemble my motorcycle just to carry out some exploratory diagnostic work for a pretty opaque camera system. It still does not work now and I have no idea why because, the next issue.6. The app is just awful. It is fairly basic, which is fine, but there are buttons which don't seem to do anything (F, R, F/R and R/F) - they look like filters to preview the relevant front, rear, front/rear or rear/front camera, but they don't actually do anything. The WiFi is painfully slow so you're better off removing the microSD card rather than trying to transfer over WiFi.I have to say I think Innovv are a decent company and working to make good improvements on dash cameras but the implementation of this camera system is pretty bad and I would suggest looking at alternatives. I appreciate the camera processing needs a computer nearby, but it would be easier to route one camera cable to the front of the bike than four cables of different shapes and sizes to the rear of the bike. Knowing you are routing 4 cables down the side of the bike, I don't see why they can't include some kind of sheathing to protect the cable so that it doesn't look like you have a messy selection of cables just thrown at the side of your bike.So all in all, decent camera, if it works, for how long it works is anyone's guess, hopefully nobody will remove the microSD card from the exposed DVR unit. Don't install it yourself and don't expect everything in the box to work when you unpack it.Pros! The installation hardware is good. Plenty of screws and adapters and rubbery bits to find a good place to install the cameras and remote control unit. The unit itself feels well built, albeit the design is (in my opinion) a bit insecure. The remote control is big and simple enough to tell you what's going on, without being overbearing with flashing lights in your eyeline. The system itself seems to be a competent and reliable system once you can get it working. Ive only had the front camera working on a ride, and there were some issues with compression and vibration so I had to install a few rubber grommets to dampen the vibrations. It's not Innovv's fault that my S1000R is a pretty vibey bike but it was just another bit of work.So overall, I'm pretty disappointed in this camera because I want it to be great, and it isn't far off being great but it is unfortunately a "swing and a miss". Strike one.Update July 2023: The camera unit appears to have died and is showing no signs of life. I will check all the connectors and wires but from a working camera it has transformed into a broken one. 😐
