I honestly don’t know why you’d eat this. If you’re eating a food that needs syrup, just eat the damn syrup. It has a very fake taste to it. As soon as you taste it you’re going to think “oh if heart burn was a flavor it would be this.” Don’t waste your money, or better yet waste your money and prove me right.

I am giving this syrup five stars, not because it's the greatest, most delicious strawberry syrup I've ever tasted but because Walden Farms has done a pretty amazing job of making a calorie-free version for those of us trying to limit sugar intake.Everyone will taste something different when they try this. For some of you, a chemical will be the dominant note, for others the sweetness will prevail, for still others the strawberry may or may not ring your chimes. Personally, I have learned to enjoy my pancakes with this syrup, especially knowing I can use almost as much as I want, guilt free.Five Minute pancakes at 250 calories: 1/3 cup Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Pancake Mix, 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1/4 cup Egg Beaters, optional: cinnamon, 1 tsp. Truvia For Baking, 1 tsp. Vanilla. Whisk together in smallish microwave safe bowl, put whole mixing bowl in microwave for three-and-a-half minutes on high. Dump cake onto plate and slice straight down nto about 6 "pancakes." Douse with Walden Farms Strawberry or Maple Walnut syrup. Delicious. You're welcome.

No sugar free/calorie free/fat free food items ever taste like the real thing, however, I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of this caramel syrup. Most sugar free items have an after taste that can be unpleasant. I admit, the very first taste of this caramel I thought had a chemical taste to it and didn't think I would be able to enjoy it, but then the after taste hit and wow, nothing but sweet caramel flavor. I then added it to my coffee and it tasted really good. After the initial first taste, that chemical taste disappeared and now I enjoy this in my coffee every morning. My only problem is it is too cost prohibitive. Unfortunately due to price of this caramel, I won't be able to enjoy it for long.

As a diabetic, I’m always on the look out for low carb products that taste good.Sadly, a lot of the products out there advertised as low carb either AREN’T Very low carb,or don’t taste so great. This is the exception. Low carb and good taste. I’m a repeat customer andI recommend the product.
