ok so where can i find just packs to purchase to use with these?

These will work in ANY pack that has a space for a water bladder, or any pack in general if you don't mind it not having its own pouch or compartment. I use mine in a mystery Ranch pack, Osprey Packs, my F-Stop photography pack. I replaced my osprey bladders with these because I wanted the insulation to keep stuff cold. I also use the Osprey line insulator on these bladders & CamelBak magnetic clips on them as well. It's a brand mix g match but by far these bladders are my favorite.

Is it easy to drink from? Can a 5 yo kid drink from it?

I don't believe a 5 year old would have issues using the bite valve on the hose. I've found mine to be fairly high flow and easy to use.

Will this fit Nathan Trailmix 7L?

Yes - this should be compatible with your Nathan Trailmix Pack.

Is the hose trimmable? It's super long. Or any other ways to shorten it?

Yes, you could do that. The bite valve is designed to be inserted into the drinking tube no matter what the length, so I would say definitely yes. But are you sure you want to do that? I have snaked the tube through several different day packs and backpacks, and have never had an issue with it being too long. However, if you do, let me offer an old piece of advice: cut once after measuring twice.
