I compared similar items w/ several companies over the past few days. I chose these because they were not made in China, so I was getting authentic rocks, many reviews indicated variety, and because next day shipping for bday gift.I am generally pleased with my purchase. Minimal dust, quick rinse, variety as well, price was great.I ordered these for my daughter (crystal newbie) because she hardly has any hoping for the beginner popular collection. No lapis, carnelian, tourmaline, selenite amethyst or clear quartz. Alot of red jaspers, gray, green, turquoise stones. Odd ones I picked out to add to my collection, but unfortunately defeated my purpose for ordering. Most of the rocks were an inch with a few shorter & tinier .2 bigger pieces. Would have liked more bigger pieces.

I bought the 3 pound collection for my grandchildren. We washed them and they were nicer then I expected. We spent the whole evening with a gem/minerals book. The unidentified stones are waiting on another evening of fun with Google. We got jadeite, amethyst, rose quartz, petrified wood ?, and more. You have to wash them. The stone dust makes them dull. I will purchase from them again.

I am a second year Geology student and one of my favorite hobbies is rock collecting. With over 120 unique samples, I cannot stop! So when I found my college had limited shops that sold rocks, I turned to Amazon to look for a good seller. Lo and behold, I found Fantasia and, like any sensible human being interested in the rock trade, was skeptical. But obviously, I caved in to curiosity and decided to see what I would get.In total, there were 40 samples in total, with at least 35 unique species. There were even types not described on the identification chart, like some Lignite and a Citrine! Of course I tested all mine to confirm their identity and I must say; my colleagues and I are very impressed! Awesome selection with quick shipping and great size (from 1 to 2 inches in length per sample)I am definitely going to try their other bulk bags in the future!

My first review:Joke. I received a bunch of rocks with absolutely no color. They look like I just walked out to the gutter and picked them up. Total waste.My review one day later:Doh! went to recycle the package the rocks came in and noticed (pic attached) I need to wash the rocks! They were loose when they arrived (had come loose from the inner package) causing extra, extra dust.I washed them and they are beautiful- just like the pics advertised if you read the product description like I normally do but didn’t in this case- I mean they’re rocks- what else do I need to know? It tells you that the pics are of the rocks wet.I soaked the rocks for about five min in cooking oil after I washed them and “baked” them. This has caused them to retain their “wet” look.

Perfect! I received 47 good sized stones (at least 1") and very few duplicates. Planning on hand polishing and wire wrapping, might break some of the stones into smaller pieces. At first I wasn't sure where to buy our next tumbling stones. I decided on Fantasia Materials based on the picture provided. We our on our 1st grind and checked the stones after 24hrs . I was amazed of the vibrant colors, my daughter kept saying WOW, WOW, WOW. Bright Blue, Vibrant Purples, Greens of different shades, Red, Orange, White...and the list goes on. Most rock sizes with this bag are 1". I was first impressed with Fantasia was when I received my 9 LB bag with a nice thank you note from the owner of Fantasia Mining Company, explaining that any concerns of the product can call or email directly to the company, including a thank you gift (Quartz crystal). I feel that customer relations are very important, and they have won my future business with this first impression. BTW...we live in South Korea and Fantasia had no issues mailing to an military APO AP address. Thank you Fantasia for excellent service and product!

I love the variety of stones I received. Nice sizes. I enjoy trying to figure out what each stone is. I'm lost on this one, if anyone knows what this is please let me know. Thank you : )

I’m tumbling these rocks and can’t wait to see how they turn out. Seemed like the weight was a little bit off. I ordered the 12 lbs and when I weighed them is showed 11 lbs. maybe my scale is off. But a pound is a substantial amount to be shorted for this product.

Would have liked to have seen a wee bit more variety but I knew that is part of the gamble when I bought it. Still quite pleased though and will likely buy again!
