It does just about anything. Speaks INSTEON/X10, Z-wave, Zigbee (separate unit) and and talks to anything you can get on a network-- like my SONOS, my MiFi lights, etc. Works best with an Elk M1 Gold via an ethernet interface and expands what you can do with that hardware. Modules are a bit pricey, and of course you have to be investing in some good automation hardware, but if you've made that decision, this is absolutely the brains your house needs.
