Timberland PROMen's PRO Wedge 6" Moc Soft Toe Industrial Work Boot

These are a really good choice for a high quality 6" mock toe, and only $100!
After days of reading reviews, watching video comparisons, and generally taking in more info than needed I bought these Timberland Pro boots and they are great. Soft but fairly thick leather that holds it shape and is not stiff at all. Timberland knows boots and has the buying power so this high quality leather is just the start of the list stating the reasons to select this boot. The seams are stitched well and the soft wedge sole material has a hard rubber layer at the bottom which will add life to the goodyear welted sole. There is a nice synthetic liner up in the toe box only and there is a hardened heel cup Leaving the remaining leather upper unlined and here again the leather quality and flexibility are both evident and appreciated for comfort right out of the box. This means you can lace them up all the way up tightly, for good ankle support, and even after walking up and down Seattle's many hills these boots get me to and from work using the bus in comfort. While Redwings are nearly perfect they could use equally thick yet more supple leather and they choose not to which at their price point take too long to soften up so goodbye Redwing and if you want an example of thick buttery leather check out the Keen Cincinnati Wellingtons I discuss at the end of this review and it made me wonder why if not for profit would so many boots use thick leather that is called "quality" yet is hard and then takes weeks to break in. Not these. I guess that's it as my first review disappeared before I could post it and doing this over sucked however getting good boots out so many similar brands and styles has gotten tough so cut through the clutter and go for the company who has been making boots for 50 years and now offers their Pro line with offerings with welt construction and very high quality materials at the $100 price point. These are superb boots that happen to cost only $100. This isn't a compromise for savings these boots are exactly what I want. My other workboots are the Timberland classic round toe that are also great for $150. My about town boots are both Keens. The Cincinnati welt construction Wellington is simply luxurious feeling, thick, supple, and attention to detail throughout and on sale now for under $100! For Seattle's wet weather a really waterproof boot is essential and while the San Jose 6" mock toe has a cement construction sole this works perfectly for around town as it makes the boot lighter and more flexible than typical welted boots. The San Jose costs about the same as the Timberland classic round toes($150) so there are my wet and dry boot recommendations for work and around town. Timberlands for my work boots and Keens for around town with each pair currently available on Amazon you should buy all four and not need to think about boots again for years. John in Seattle.

Affordable, durable, comfortable and stylish
I never leave reviews but for you bigger guys that are looking for a affordable boot and easy break in and won’t kill your feet then these are it. Only thing is the sizing is big. I wear a 13 in Ariats. I had to order 12s in these but nevertheless I don’t regret my choice and I would buy again.

Solid Boot for the price
I initially bought these just to have a "nice pair" of work boots for interacting with customers and walking roofs. I ended up wearing them most days as they turned out to be comfortable and relatively durable. After several months, they've held up very well with just minor scratches and scuffs to the material. They aren't a $300 boot by any means, but if you're looking for a cost effective work boot that has the look and holds up to wear and tear for the most part, I'd say you can't go wrong with these Timberlands.

OK boot for the money
I think this boot is fine. The ones I ordered came with a smooth full grain leather, not like the tumbled leather in the picture. I got these on sale for $89 and for that I think they are a decent boot for kicking around in or working indoors. They are not heavy duty work boots. One complaint is that the leather is really thin. This could be good if you're looking for something breathable and light for summer, but they are not going to be durable. The toe box on mine has already deformed significantly in less than a year of wearing them once or twice a week.

Pro, hard no. Weekend warrior at best.
Graduated from custom cabinet maker to project manager and was looking for a quality, durable boot that was lighter than my steel toes but would still hold up to job site conditions. This boot was comfortable right out of the box. The leather was genuine and had a great feel and all stitching seemed like it was going to hold up to normal wear and tear. After a good application of conditioner, I was off and running. Overall I was happy with my purchase...for about a week. The leather seems to lose its dye with the smallest amount of moisture, to the point where numerous pairs of my thick wool socks are now permentanly stained an orangey-brown, not to mention my feet until a hard scrub. The insoles also immediately started to fall apart with the fabric top lining coming off within the first few days and once it became a nuisance had to be removed leading to the actual rubber/sponge insole to start to degrade.Although the above issues are problems that you should not have within the first week of any just sub $100 boots, the real issue was just noticed today, a little over 2 months after receiving the boots in the beginning of October. As seen in the pictures, the layers of the sole are starting to delaminate and are essentially ruined. I have never even had cheap-o boots fail this quickly and that was with working hard and beating them up. I am between a desk and job site walk-throughs and nothing that could even be considered strenuous on the boot. Anyone who has had a boot do this knows that it just gets exponentially worse day by day with hardly any cause leading to wet feet and debris constantly getting stuck in the ever growing opening. I couldn't be more disappointed with a boot from a supposedly reputable manufacturer that cost what it did. Since I don't feel like having wet feet, these are now shelved until summer and even then just for home use. Comfortable off the get but I guess there's something to be said for a boot that has to be broken in the old fashioned way. Maybe it was a defective pair judging by some other reviewers 5 star ratings but at just under $100, not a risk I am willing to make with this or any other Timberland "Pro" seriers.

Best work boots
Such great work boots. They last. Won’t buy any other brand.

Frustration.
Good, but it didn't meet my expectations. The lace does not hold well and the boot is loose on the foot! The leather is very soft which takes away the stability when walking.

Gran calidad
Me gusto mucho la calidad de los materiales, viene un poco más amplio, asà que consideren pedir media o 1 talla menos, son muy livianas y cómodas.

the size matters
Comfortable, practical and good looking boots. The right size matters, otherwise these boots can end up being quite bulky on account of their thick sole. Size down!! At least 1/2 size if not a full one size. For reference, my feet are 11.25, so for sneakers i wear size 11.5. For these boots I went with size 10.5 and the fit is excellent. Finally, they are being sold as working boots, but I seriously doubt that unless you are ok with buying new boots every year or two. I don't; my Tim's usually last 5-6 seasons/years, so hopefully these will too.

Quality Craftsmanship, But Size Matters - Timberland PRO Men's Wedge Sole 6" Boot
I recently purchased the Timberland PRO Men's Wedge Sole 6" Boot, drawn to its renowned reputation for durability and style. While the craftsmanship and build quality lived up to the Timberland standard, I encountered a sizing issue that led to a return.Let's start with the positives. The boots exude a rugged charm that Timberland is known for, and the 6" height provides ample ankle support. The premium leather construction is not only stylish but also promises long-lasting wear, making these boots suitable for both work and casual occasions. The wedge sole design is a standout feature, offering excellent traction and stability on various surfaces. The boots provide a comfortable and supportive feel, especially during extended periods of wear. The padded collar adds an extra layer of comfort, making these boots ideal for demanding work environments. However, the sizing turned out to be larger than expected. Despite following the sizing guidelines provided by Timberland, the boots were noticeably roomier than anticipated, leading to discomfort and potential safety concerns during work activities. Unfortunately, this compelled me to initiate a return. In conclusion, the Timberland PRO Men's Wedge Sole 6" Boot is undoubtedly a quality product, marrying style with durability. The sizing issue, while a setback, should not overshadow the excellent craftsmanship and design of these boots. For potential buyers, I recommend sizing down to ensure a snug and comfortable fit. Timberland's reputation for reliability remains intact, and with the right size, these boots could easily become a staple in any wardrobe.

Wide size are really wide
I thought they would be just roomier, they are actually wide. I’ve got wide feet so I like the fit but I can see how people with narrow feet would not like it. That being said almost no break in needed. I did change the insert for something with a tad more cushion but that’s just my preference, the ones that come from the box are good too.
