I purchased this to fix a lamp that no longer works. The kit was easy to put together and insert into the lamp. It works perfectly.

Great product.

I had bought an oriental vase with a hole at the bottom intending to make it a lamp. This kit helped me achieve that. I love my new lamp! Got a top holding lamp shade from home goods to fit. It was pretty easy to put together and I’ve never put together a lamp before. The only challenge I ran into was that the top of my vase was a wide non symmetrical square so I had to improvise a way for the kit to rest on something. I got a swivel bracket from Home Depot that happened to fit and I hot glued it to the lip of the vase. The not included bracket sits just under the lip (hot glue on top of bracket and under lip to secure in place) and rests on the curve of the top of vase so it can’t be lifted out too easily. Bracket wouldn’t be necessary for a standard lamp or lamp replacement. Seems to be holding well. Would buy again.

I've never rewired a lamp before, so I was hesitant -- but I did it! This is a good kit with good construction of materials. My only critique is that the instructions were a bit vaguely worded. They say that the ground wire is ribbed and for the life of me, I really couldn't see or feel any ribbing. After frantically searching for a good five minutes, I barely discerned some ribbing on one of the wires and went with that one. I wasn't killed when I turned the lamp on, so I guess I chose correctly. But I really do think the manufacturer needs to mark the ground wire in a better way. Other than that, this was easy!

Everything you need to make a lamp or repair one. Easy to set up and use. Finished a project started by my great grandfather.

Such a good price, ended up working very well, but the instructions weren’t very clear so it took me a hot minute to wire the lamp lol

I used this kit to make a whiskey bottle lamp. Everything went to together easily, it did EXACTLY what I needed. Its worked great for years now, though on a 'smart switch' timer, so we RARELY touched the actual switch by the bulb. Recently, we moved it and I realized that the bulb socket portion doesn't stay seated into its base. It can be pushed back in, but never stays in place, especially as you work the switch. I MIGHT glue it together, but I liked the fact I could undo the wires and pull them back through if I decided to re-use this or the lamp broke. Maybe I have some jumbo size wire heatshrink laying around.

Like: it worked and the light did light up Dislike: 1. Cheap product 2. Harp is bent causing the shade to bend on one side 3. The plus is not AU standard, nowhere mentioned! Upon closer inspection Pics did show the plus is not AU but was never mentioned as not AU and hence assumed it will be AU standard! Wouldn’t recommend unless you want something quick…

Looks good. Not used it yet but part seem ok.

Made my own lamp out of an empty bottle and it turned out great. I have no prior electrical knowledge, but it was user friendly and easy to figure out and it has continued to work great years later.
