However, you have to lift the drain every time you shower to clean out debris and hair. If you have long hair, this will be a daily task after every shower, if not it clogs and backs up water. We learned this the hard way when we forgot to do so and then the entire bathroom flooded. Don't laugh,our guest did not think ankle deep water in a flat shower as a problem. SMH. Anyway, we avoided a potential catastrophe and now clean it out regularly. It is a pain in the butt and a disgusting job. I purchased yellow sponge strainers that collect the hair but keep the water flowing but it is still disgusting to change. Like you better put gloves on to clean debris as well as change out the sponge filter we purchased. Again SMH.
