Would this .7mm be too close in size to a .8mm lava bead, and which threading needle would you recommend? Thanks!

This particular .7 thread with the subheadings written in French, is just a tiny bit thinner than the exact same brand, exact  same type .7 thread with the subheadings written in Spanish. THE TWO VERSIONS LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME EXCEPT FOR THE DIFFERENCE IN LANGUAGES. I was able to use the French version with 5-6mm fresh water pearls which have a very small drilled hole; however, the thread with the Spanish subheadings was just slightly too thick. I was able to simply thread the elastic thread through with no needle required, even though the hole and the thread were almost the same size. The thread is substantial enough to hold onto. If the hole in the lava bead is .8mm, this will work; however, if the bead itself is only .8mm the thread would not work. If the thread is just a tiny bit too thick for the hole, you can stretch it firmly before threading by pulling on it (which you should always do anyway when making stretchy bracelets so they don't stretch out the first time someone wears the bracelet). This will reduce the thickness of the thread slightly, at least temporarily.

My bead hole is 0.8mm.  What size stretch cord do i need for easy threading?

The pepperell 0.7mm is the best middle size for threading. It is the easiest I have ever used. Yes I recommend it.

Yes!  I use it for 10mm and higher sometimes.  It is excellent.

The size of this stretch cord is 0.7, if the hole of your beads is 0.8 you will be able to use this 0.7 with your beads.
