Ikea Kalas 901.929.62 18-Piece BPA-Free Flatware Set, Multicolored (2, DESIGN 1)

My two toddler girls (2 years and 3 years) tend to be chronic flatware thieves -- especially when it comes to spoons. I am on my fourth flatware set in the past 12 months. The spoons end up in toy bins, the garbage, the mysterious void that toddlers somehow make things disappear into, etc. With a family of 9, we need to get service for 12 and I like quality flatware so it ends up being very expensive to continuously replace our flatware due to all of the spoons going missing. After purchasing my 4th set over the past year, and it is a set that I really, really like, I decided enough was enough and I was going to get the girls their own flatware. I needed something that was durable enough for a toddler's abuse yet cheap enough that I wouldn't get upset if it all went missing in a few months time. This ended up being the perfect solution.The pieces aren't so small that the girls feel like we are making them eat with "baby" flatware, but are smaller than normal flatware and are perfect for a toddler's smaller hands and mouth. The colors are also fun and vibrant, which makes the girls happy and not at all upset that they don't get to use the shiny flatware anymore. They are also inexpensive enough that I won't mind replacing them two or three times a year if we need to. While I wouldn't recommend these to anyone as a primary flatware set for a household, if you are looking for flatware for your younger ones this will do the job perfectly.

My kids love these utensils so much that I had to buy more because they fight over the colors so I needed at least 2 of each color. They are not super blunt but work well enough for my 4 year old and 2 year old to use efficiently everyday! Highly recommend

I purchased these for my son's lunch box. They seem durable for plastic ware, but they are really made for small hands - my middle school aged son says they're too much like toddler ware, so he only uses the knives as necessary (for cream cheese, etc.) I'd use them, but then again, I'm a girl. :) Would like to find these a little larger, in adult colors.

My kids kept loosing the silverware so I had to buy more. Love the feel nice and light. My kids loves the colors and now setting the table. Very easy to clean will buy more

Colors were not as pictured. Disappointed in the odd green, white and other colors that did not include purple or pinks.
