No other vitamins and easy to swallow; good add on to prenatals
I had to search long and hard for a calcium supplement that didn't include any other vitamins Since I'm adding this to my prenatal, I didn't want to double up on other vitamins. Since your body can only absorb one at a time, most prenatals are lacking in calcium to allow the body to absorb iron. Due to the absorption conflict, I take this in the morning and my prenatal at night. The dosage on the bottle says to take it twice a day, but since my prenatal does have some calcium and magnesium in it (just not enough), I am taking it once a day to add to the amounts my prenatal give me without going above recommended amounts as too much magnesium can be toxic. In terms of the pills themselves, they are easy to swallow and I haven't noticed any side effects. I do try to eat something soon after I take the pills to prevent an upset stomach, but I have on occasion run out of the house without food and my stomach was still okay until I had breakfast an hour later at the office. My only complaint is having to take 3 pills at each dose, but other brands I found which had the 500 mg calcium and 250 mg magnesium that I was looking for had many complaints about the pill size, so I opted to go for more easy-to-swallow pills than 1 pill that is hard to swallow. I am able to take 2 of these pills in one swallow. (I am not a doctor and have made my choice based on personal research and consultation with my doctor regarding my prenatals. I would recommend asking a doctor before you choose a dosage, but if you are advised to take a 500 mg calcium/ 250 mg magnesium supplement, I do recommend this one).

Dosage cited may be misleading
Says serving size is 3 capsules but thatโs just the 1st serving of the day. For the day itโs twice a day which is 6 capsules for daily recommended dose. Serving size is actually 41.6 per bottle not 83. Not an accurate measure of monthly cost. Read directions carefully so you donโt make the same mistake I did. An already pricey supplement became twice as expensive.

Take These Regularly
Not sure what all to say - it's a vitamin. These are the amount in milligrams that I need, and I take 1 twice a day, for the total amount my Dr. wants me to take. I like that there are so many in the bottle so I don't have to buy them so frequently. The capsules are pretty big, but I find they are not hard to swallow.

Does not cause stomach upset
After many years of trying all the different forms of calcium--calcium carbonate, calcium citrate, tablets, capsules, gummies, etc.--this is the first calcium supplement that did not make me feel nauseated or cause constipation. My doctor recommended calcium in addition to a prescription med for osteoporosis. My search has ended. I will be taking Nature's Way Calcium for the rest of my life.

Helped so much with pregnancy symptoms!
I started taking calcium magnesium during my pregnancy and it helped so much with sleep, muscle spasms, constipation. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. Anyway, I ran out of the fancy whole food brand that I was using and I just picked up some generic brand at the pharmacy and I noticed a difference right away. Basically all my symptoms came back. I hate going to whole foods because it's far, parking sucks, costs soooo much -- so I picked up this brand at the grocery store and it worked great (it also has citrate which is supposedly more absorbing). Ten the store stopped carrying it so I found it on amazon. Great price. I'm four months post partum and still taking it.
