Casual Home Kitchen Island with Solid American Hardwood Top, Natural/White, 40" W (373-91)

I am very impressed with this kitchen island. I purchased two of them: one serves as a kitchen island and the other as a storage table and shelf. I do not have enough cabinet space, so these pieces have been a perfect solution. They provide both storage and a functional workspace without taking up too much room. The pictures and description on the listing are accurate. The quality is excellent, and the hardwood top looks beautiful in person. Assembly was easy and took less than an hour. It arrived quickly and was packaged extremely well, with all parts and hardware included, so there were no delays or missing components. Overall, this is a lovely and practical addition to any kitchen. It offers durability, attractive design, useful extra storage, and thoughtful packaging, making it a purchase I am very pleased with.

Great quality for a solid wood island of this price. Most similarly priced islands aren’t. It’s well made and easy to assemble. The wood top is beautiful and the piece didn’t have any strong, bad fumes when new, which is good since it’s meant for the kitchen. The white paint was a little thin at spots, showing the wood underneath a bit, but understandable given the price. Great for adding counter or food prep space to a kitchen. The drawer is a good size for large relatively flat objects.

This is a really solid, functional table and the tabletop looks much nicer than most of the cheap, pseudo-wood furniture that is often offered on Amazon. Plus, putting it together was extremely simple and straightforward.

i was nervous to get this with some of the reviews, but took the chance since weve been looking for a cheap island for ages and figured if it came damaged we'd return it. we were very happily surprised, it fits our needs and for $136 i dont think you could do better! we personally found it easy and straightforward to put together, the pictures are clear enough and you just need to pay attention to the orientation of the pieces and you should be fine. put the shelves on the legs, attach the top, put together the drawer and slide it in. i think it took 45 minutes total, and the thing that took the longest was tightening the bolts that hold the top down since there isnt room to do a full turn of the screwdriver, you have to do a bunch of little half turns. some tips to make it easier: * DONT TIGHTEN FULLY AT FIRST. this is a huge one with pretty much any 'cheap' furniture you put together. tighten the bolts enough that the shelves will hold to the legs and the top will stay on, but dont fully screw everything down until you get all the pieces where you want them, because they depend on some wiggle room at first to line up right. this is *ESPECIALLY* important when it comes to the putting together the drawer, because you need to kind of wiggle the pieces around a bit as you go and make sure theyre fitting nice and square. if they dont, back the screws out a bit, hold them square or have someone do it for you, and try again. * TIGHTEN SLOWLY AND LISTEN WHILE YOU DO dont rush screw things in or use an electric screwdriver to speed things up, or youll go too far and hear cracking and split the wood. feel for tension as you screw, tighten till it feels secure, and leave it. dont try to screw down to the absolute max, you dont need it. if you hear creaking, stop! we almost drove too far a few times but since we went slowly, the worst we did was hear some squeak signaling it was too much and we could stop with no damage done. * this one is optional and only if you have two people strong enough but- try attaching the legs to the top by laying the top on the floor and putting it together sort of upside down, then inverting it after to flip it right side up. it just makes it a bit easier to attach the top instead of crouching under it. if you're one person i don't recommend since its too hard to flip back up without hurting yourself or breaking the table. other than that, be aware that the top scratches pretty easily so you might want to try a clear vinyl on top or just be careful. just putting the drawer on top before we slid it in was enough to scratch it. itll work fine for us but i wouldnt use it like a butcher block and cut directly on it, you should use a cutting board. again for the cost, you really cant beat it, and itd be simple to put a clear vinyl on it or something like that. its ever so slightly not level, so we are using a thin shim under one leg, but with the shelves full of things i think it wouldnt be noticeable. none of our pieces came damaged, but if that worries you then inspect everything before you put it together so you can easily return or exchange if need be.

I’m so happy I purchased this cart.I searched a long time to find a 20” deep top to fit my 17” deep microwave to prevent it from tipping. It is one inch higher than my counter tops, which I had hoped would be the same height but no biggie. I love the drawer for dish towels and pot holders and shelves with plenty of height for hot pot etc. It is nice looking with the cherry wood top and it is nice and sturdy . The price was so reasonable too . If I could have given more than 5 stars I would have!

I use this for my toaster oven, 2.5 gallon water dispenser, and small coffee pot. I keep my teas and hot chocolates in the drawer which slides easily. The middle shelf holds 4 cases of Fancy Feast wet cat food on one side, and extra water jugs on the other. The bottom shelf easily holds 3 plastic containers of dry cat food, and 4-side-by-side 12 pk cases of soda cans on the other, with plenty of room to stack another 4 cases on top of those. Definitely an attractive, extra storage/use stand and very sturdy!

Great look (cherry top). Easy to assemble. Been using for 2 months. Solid & stable, both shelves loaded. Good size, probably more convenient if placed against a wall. Drawer for small non-heavy stuff only. Only issue with delayed delivery .

A lot more solid then expected. Price went up after we purchased ours. Would not buy at present price.

Overall, fine for what you pay for, though I suspect you would get better value from Ikea. Sadly, with such good reviews here I didn't bother to check other options. The shelves fragile and doesn't seem sturdy enough to hold 50lbs as stated in their ad, I doubt the structure can hold 100lbs as advertised.

Use the island for a coffee/ tea / toaster area in our kitchen and the bottom shelving is perfect for storing our chrome pots and pans. A nice decorative and practical island.

Overall, good value for the price. Top is very nice quality and beautiful. But the rest is made of cheap wood that splits easily. I had three splits while putting it together despite the holes being aligned and not over tightening. I used wood glue to fix it and hopefully it will be ok. White finish is very sheer, damages easy and not very washable. I put a coat of polycrilic to ease cleaning and hopefully, protect it a bit better. Many reviews mentioned issues with drawer but I had no problem with it. Overall, for the price I paid, I am happy with it. It's a nice size, looks good and was easily put together, even if the quality is kind of meh.
