Great value colouring pencils
Great range of colours. Being double ended, they don’t take up much room in the pencil case. Nice quality, too.

Nice set of colours with the added bonus of different “skin” colours
A good set of colours with the added bonus of some double ended “skin coloured” pencils which my daughter has really enjoyed for colouring pictures of friends and story characters. Overall would buy again

Dissapointed with quality and coulours
I usually like all of Maped's colouring products, and buy other items in their line regularly. However, these pencils were a disappointment.The quality of the pencil itself is poor. Quite a few of the pencils had issues with the alignment of the coloured leads inside. So no matter how they're sharpened, you end up with a pointy bit of wood, not lead.The quality of the colour itself is poor. Some colurs requires to press very hard on the paper to get any colour transfer. I've had free pencils of better quality than this.Finally, the skin tone double pencils are a disappointment. Since there are only six colours to choose from they should have focused on having an array of tones. Rather they have three colours in the mid-to-dark-range that are practically identical, with very slight variations in undertone (warm, cool, neutral) which is mostly imperceivable. There is only one white tone which is a bit orangey, and then a bit jump to darker browns. In real life there are many skin tones between white and mid-to-dark-brown (i.e. Mediterranean, Latin and Middle Eastern). If your child wants to draw anyone from these ethnicities then they won't be able to with this set.I have a similar pencil set from another brand that has three double ended skin tone pencils in it, and they have managed to actually represent all skin tones, as well of being of better quality in general. Will be sticking to that brand instead from now onwards for this type of product.
