Effective devices and superb customer service
The previous owner that built the house we now own thought it strategic to save $150 on installation of wire mesh screening under the title 24 ridge caping on the 3 dwellings. Very stupid. Enough of our buyers regret (a litany of issues from their cheap construction methodologies) and letโs fast forward to this solution and it is a good solution. We procured 2 of these units to install in 2 of the 3 structures on our property. The units were very effective in preventing the return of the bats from their over wintering south of us and successfully drove out a few of the early arrivals. However, one of the units failed - just stopped working - and, Iโm not sure how long it was out of service, we now have a colony building up. Knowing how successful these units were (and are), I immediately ordered some replacements and upgraded to the more powerful unit for the area that was seeing accumulation due to the original units failure. Now to the 2nd part of the title. On a lark, since the 30 day Amz window and the 60 day Cleanrth window for returns had passed, I sent off an email on a Sunday evening to Cleanrth to just ask if there was any chance of getting a replacement. It wasnโt an hour before Michelle sent me back a response apologizing for the failure and letting me know a replacement would be on its way. 4 days later, voila! Replacement unit arrived. I think the failed unit was just a fluke, looking at other reviews, but the quality of their service is anything but that. It is rare to have such good response and service these days but Cleanrth really gets behind their products. I highly recommend them for both characteristics.

It works! 9 Year Review. The best I've found for bat deterrent
I bought this over 9 years ago, and it's still working great! Bats were roosting in my covered entry way every night and leaving droppings and pieces of dead bugs. I gave this ultrasonic repelling system a chance, and it's still going strong. I didn't want an extension cord visible, so I wired in a dedicated power outlet for this. Every once in a while, the GFI on the outlet will trip - cutting power. When that happens, I start seeing bat droppings again within a day or two. When I reset the GFI, the bats go away. There is a slight high pitched sound that I can hear from it. So that may bother some people if you have it on a back patio or somewhere that you'll spend a lot of time. But it's well worth the trade off for me. It's been very durable - even after I accidentally sprayed it when I was hosing down my entryway. It's relatively small, so it doesn't take up a ton of space. There are different settings that work better for different bats and different scenarios. Follow the instructions and reach out to the manufacturer if you need help with the settings. If you're looking for a way to keep bats away and you're okay with a slight high pitched tone, I'd highly recommend this.

It works!
We have had up to 40 bats nesting in the eaves above our deck. They are migratory, arriving as soon as the snow melts and temperatures warm up. They leave early Fall. One species is protected and we are required to leave their nests alone. Our HOA hired a โbat mitigationโ service that prevented nesting by blocking access, but we were still waking up to our deck covered in guano every day. We purchased this device June 2025. It took close to a week before we noticed a difference and now we see 90% less mess. Unfortunately, the device stopped working yesterday and our deck was covered in guano this morning. We have ordered a replacement! Yes, itโs worth it!

Iโm really disappointed that there wasnโt more information before I bought this
I live in a house that was built in 1859 and somewhere in the 20th century they converted it into 21 bedroom apartments and four studio apartments. Itโs an odd shaped house, itโs very similar to the shape of the Addams family house except itโs a different color. Bats flying over the tower and all. The first summer I spent in the upstairs studio apartment, I had a bat that came flying out of my cupboard and at the time I had a cat that was indoor cat only, but he wasnโt up-to-date on his vaccinations so I was hysterical. Having work at the main Society. Iโd seen plenty of rabies cases in my day. I like bats but when there is sweep around your framed 300 square-foot studio apartment itโs a whole other storyโฆ We figured out, however it got into the house. It got into my cupboard through a hole that the plumber had cut way too wide of a hole around a pipe, and it probably made its way up there and then out the cupboard, trying to find its way out. Anyways my landlord at the house I called him at 4 AM. He came over and got the bat released. It all was fine. Nope but that problems last summer and then itโs not even summer yet and I had a bat in my apartment a week ago except this time I have two cats in my apartment because I rescued , one cat in the neighborhood two summers ago and this bat was large and particularly hard to catch. I didnโt mean to, but I swatted it with the broom a little too hard and I think I stunned it because it went funk to the floor, but it was definitely still alive and , moving around and I got a bat or a box and slid a piece of cardboard underneath, and I ran down the stairs, not even dressed and placed the box onto the top of my car because I know they need a place to try and take off from. So the bat live to see another day , after that, I was upset knowing that weโve obviously got bats getting into the house whether itโs once a year once every other year, it doesnโt matter to me a bat in a studio apartment when you donโt even have a door, you can close to put your animal safely in while you call for help to me thatโs a problem. And what do you know I write to the owners and management company and hear nothing from them even though this is a major health hazard. I had another apartment three nights later. Except this time my cat was sick because it had contact with the bats feces I had treated at the vet and it was touch her goal for a few days but heโs OK nowโฆ so the landlord who doesnโt have much power in the situation where I live and I didnโt know what to do so we remembered using these little plug-ins when we had a small mouse problem in the apartment downstairs and they were great after a few weeks. the mice would just find someplace else to nest And the equivalent of that it says it can fit or take on the 7000 square-foot building you think OK can take on a big house. Thatโs not exactly the case. Once you get through the 5 million pieces of instructions they send you which are mostly welcome letters and numbers to call before you give up on their $60 productโฆ Itโs basically just a device you plug into your wall except you need to know where the nest is and where the main problem is coming from and I know that Iโve got five different points of entry where this bat or bats are coming from so how am I supposed to know where to place this thing. Plus I have birdfeeders and squirrel feeders outside my window. Itโs one of the reasons I love living in this up upstairs apartment is , even though I live in the city, I love the fact that so many critters come to our yard to feed. And these devices will send squirrels and birds and chipmunks and all the other things that you might enjoy having around like I do away. So I didnโt even bother plugging it in . I put it right back in the box and I told my landlord that I didnโt sign up to have a device being plugged into my apartment sending every living creature away. Because I have high windows and every room theyโre only 6 inches from the ceiling and 6 inches from the floor and I always have the screens open and Iโve got feeders on all three windows and I donโt wanna send away the animals. I enjoy so the owners of the house are gonna have to just deal with the bats and a professional manner . Maybe this is a great device for people that donโt care about animals but I do care about animals and itโs not a device thatโs meant for a studio apartment. This is something thatโs meant for a bar or maybe a basement but not someplace where there are people and pets and other critters that are going to be bothered by it. So I would just be aware before you purchase a $60 , 6 inch device that you have to plug into a part of your apartment unless youโre a bat whisperer no exactly where the nest is where theyโre coming from you could end up being a complete waste of money so Iโm a very unhappy customer and I feel completely misled by everything. I read about this product before I ordered it .

Six year bat problem solved!
I purchased this bat repellent in April 2026 before my annual bat showed up. This bat has come to my front porch every year for the past six years or more. He hangs at the peak on the rock wall. As soon as I saw evidence he was back, I set up my repellent and saw immediate results. This went on for a week or so. All of a sudden the bat was back, darn it. I followed instructions, changing the switches. The second night, no more bat. It has been 8 weeks and my 6 year bat problem looks like it's solved. I would definitely buy this product again and only wish I found it sooner!

OMG! It really works
I have had bats in my front entry way for over 7 years. I got so tired of cleaning up the mess that I was desperate. They would latch on the ceiling over my front door. How nasty is this? I had to clean up such a mess every morning. Embarrassing to say the least when people come. I had a neighbor tell me about your product and got on the internet to buy it. First day it did nothing. The instructions say give it a few days. I said screw this! I put it on full pop and they never came back! Whahoo! no more mess. Only thing I don't like is they should place some sort of hook on the back so you can hang it on the wall or even a battery operated one would be fantastic! No plugs and nothing to worry about with the weather also. The rain gets to it sometimes so I have to bring it in the house. Not to good if you go on vacation either. Anyway, it works. Hope they make it better with some of the suggestions I gave. Good luck guys

No More Bats
We bought this device in the summer of 2025. The bats were gone in less than one week. They came back several weeks later and we adjusted the frequency and they stayed away for a year. They recently came back. We adjusted the frequencies again and they left that same day. This product is easy to use, reasonably priced, and EFFECTIVE!
