What is the effective range for this device?

Our cottage is about 800 square feet and as the other respondent said, it does take time, however it is worth the wait. The "chaotic" setting worked more effectively for our purposes.  Another plus for this unit is if there is a power outage it comes back on when power is restored. We are very pleased with this product and highly recommend it and the seller.

will it work if I plug the unit in the bedroom close to where the bats are in the attic?

About a dozen bats were nesting inside my attic just above my garage,  Since I don't have any outlets in my attic, I plugged it into a wall outlet inside my garage, about 20 feet from where the bats were.   I have motion-triggered infrared security cameras under the eves of my garage roof,  and for about a year I enjoyed watching the bats fly in circuitous patterns in front of my garage.  Eventually the overpowering aroma of bat guano persuaded me to buy this Cleanrth CB006 bat repeller.  I expected the ultrasonic sounds to drive my dogs nuts, but their ears didn't even twitch when I plugged this in!   After 24 hours of using this repeller, I only counted two bats on my video playback, and after another two days, I realized that ALL of the bats were gone!   I kept the unit plugged in for two more weeks, and then I used expanding foam sealant to plug up the holes that the bats were using to get into my attic.  This product worked GREAT for me!

Can this get wet?

Hi there, the CB006 can be used outdoors. They are somewhat water resistant but not 100% waterproof. As long as the unit doesn't become completely submerged into water say like a puddle, it will work great. If something happens to your unit within a years purchase, we will replace it.
