Review: Slows rust down - I’ve used this for a couple years on my 2013 pickup truck and it seems to have slowed the rust of frame and even body components. It forms a hard black surface at rusting areas. I’d recommend wearing a mask and safety glasses when applying.

**Q: Has anyone used this long term on painted surfaces?  Does it damage the paint?**
A: I have neither seen or read of damage to firearm surfaces caused by this product. These surfaces do not have traditional paint as a coating. That is my only application of this product.

**Q: If a spark or open flame were to touch an applicated area, would that ignite the lubricant?**
A: Let me check, if I am not back in 5 min... then yes.

Haven't used yet, but expected standard size. These were a bit smaller. I'm sure it'll work great. Never a complaint with WD40.
