What is the little knife for?

Seems like others aren’t understanding your question. I believe the small knife is more novelty than actually functional. I have used it for 2 things rather successfully. Slicing garlic cloves really thin and opening packages. Not sure if that is the intended use but it has not been the preferred choice for anything else.

is this machine washable? Will it rust?

Yes. These knives are made of high carbon steel vs. stainless steel, which doesn’t easily rust. The advantage of high carbon steel is that it sharpens and holds an edge well. The down side is that high carbon steel requires a higher level of care than stainless knives. They really need to be dried thoroughly after use. FWIW, I prefer high carbon steel knives over stainless steel knives but if you aren’t willing to give them the care they need, you might think about sticking with stainless.

Whats the angle of this knife if i were to sharpen it?

It sharpens like any other blade. Nothing unique in that process. However, it stays sharp for long, once used for edible foods
