I bought a fueran dp emulator, but the os recognizes it as a hdmi monitor connected. is there a plug that emulates dp monitor with dp connector?

My guess is that it's a gamble either way. I bought the display port as you, yet my computer saw it as a vga adapter rather than dp or hdmi. I would have rather had it recognized as an hdmi. Seems like that shirt of thing may vary from unit to unit.
