It's the perfect size for outside kitty, she is no more than 6 lbs. so a little on the small side.. I like it has an escape door in the back. I have set it up elevated. I think as the weather gets chillier she will spend more time in it. She is a feral baby so she roughs it a lot.

Pros: Gets warm, not burning hot.Is waterproof (except for the door flaps)The plug is a about 3' and has an on-off switch for the heat (I live in a windy area and have had other cat beds blow away,from my porch. So being able to keep this plugged in on warmer days, ensures it won't blow away).You can opt to have the plug go through the back door, or as I did, pull it through the side fold and over the top if you have a cat that chews wires and electric cords, like my crazy cat.Assembly is super easy, took about two seconds. You don't even need directions - it's that easy.Cons: The padding on the bottom is not thick, in fact it's rather thin for a cat bed.The door flaps Velcro on, and are not magnetized like a doggy door flap, so they tend to get stuck in weird positions (half-closed or stuck up on the wall it's by), when a cat enters or leaves. And the plastic is stiff, so it will just stay open.My outdoor cat hates it. Everytime I put her in she runs out the back-end to her old, nasty bed she's had for years. She's getting older and though I'm in the desert, we get cold winters, so I've tried assimilating her to the bed before we get too cold, but she's not having it. But still I'm hopeful she will get used to it.She is only about 10 lbs and fits in with little room to spare lengthwise, a little more room to spare on the width, so, I'd say it's not big enough for two cats, unless they piggyback or are very tiny, or like to "ball up" to sleep together.It's a cute design, and super-simple "assembly". If it was big enough, I'd use it!

Absolutely love this little house! My feral kitties sleep in it every night and I love the fact it has 2 doors so they feel safe enough to sleep. The little doors are great too but my kitties don't like them so hopefully in time, before it gets really cold, they will get used to the doors. For now, I'm just leaving them off. I would love to find one just like this but a little bigger so the two of them can sleep in the same house.

Would not recommend if you have more than one cat or if you have a larger cat, this is a small house. I got mine out of the box, set it up and took it right down and sent it back. The heated pad is also not a heavier duty pad as in some of the other cat houses I have purchased, it is thin and flimsy. House is very small. A-Frame part seems to be sturdy but that is all I found to be suitable for me. I had ordered another brand at the same time & It was much larger & better.

A nice house but truly for an indoor kitty or very protected area. kitty. Has no door flaps to keep the cold air out so I purchased something else for my wild outdoor kitty and brought this indoors for my inside elderly kitty (16 years). She loves it and is in it constantly. So it was worth the money but should be marketed differently. Thank you.

Doris, the stray feline interloper who has claimed my covered patio as her sanctuary, appreciated this purchase. We experienced an unusually chilly Winter here in the sub tropics, and I was relieved when Doris, a fiercely independent feral feline, rode-out the freezing nights in this heated shelter. She liked it so well, she introduced it to her kittens when they arrived in March. I do not regret purchasing this respite for the neighborhood Jezebel.

My cat loved this house. He is not really my cat, but I felt bad for him out in the cold. He used it every night. Unfortunately it is very light weight and it blew away and I couldn't find it. Just secure it and you should be happy with it.

I purchased this for a wild cat that we feed and try to house. The cat absolutely adores this...won’t leave it. I am concerned if the heating blanket will suffice for our cold Canadian winter. I had thought it may be slightly warmer.
