What you buy to make extract
I bought the grade A 25 beans package for $35 then bought this 1/4 pound package for $45. The 25 grade A beans were slightly less than 1.9 oz. this 1/4 pound package was 4.2 oz and had about 60 beans. The grade A beans were slightly longer and some were slightly fatter but because this was by weight, you get more beans with the 1/4 pound package. They have less moisture so there are more beans per pound. I made extract by dividing all the beans from both packages - around 95 beans into two 1.75 liter vodka bottles and one 750ml 70 proof coconut rum bottle. I’ll shake them couple times a week for a month then put them in the dark and shake them monthly. I’ve been told that they will be usable in six months and fully mature in two yearsBought two more packs. One had 46 beans. Other had 49 beans

Good beans but we're very dry.
These smelled great. I am using them for making vanilla. They were very dry and hard to split, but overall seem like a good product. I will post an update when my vanilla is done.

EXCELLENT BEANS!
I am very pleased w/my beans, thank you! They were an even 5 inches long, perfectly packaged, containing 69 beans in the 4oz. The aroma outside the amazon pkg was unbelievable! YES!!!! I will buy again-soon!

Did not smell like vanilla
Strong smell of caramel, wood chips and alcohol upon opening. Tried one bean to make vanilla sugar; still horrible

Great value
Who, what a great purchase! I got 65 Madagascar grade B vanilla beans for $44. I'll only buy vanilla beans by the ounce instead of by a number in a pack from now on.
