The Nerf Rival Curve Shot Sideswipe XXI-1200 Blaster is a cutting-edge toy blaster that allows players to strategically curve their shots mid-battle. With a 360-degree rotating muzzle, it fires rounds at an impressive speed of 90 feet per second and features an integrated 12-round magazine, making it the ultimate choice for competitive play.

Great Rival Gun. Cool effect
My son loves it. It doesn't curve as much as you think it would. But great Rival to the collection.

The "flagship" of the Curve Shot series, and for good reason
Perhaps the last hoorah for the RIVAL line of Nerf blasters now that Hyper is around, the RIVAL Curve Shot blasters have the primary gimmick of an adjustable barrel to make shots "curve" around objects in different directions. The Sideswipe is the larger of the 2 offerings (the other being the Flex), and is actually a lot better than it seems. The Sideswipe is a traditional "springer" style blaster that primes via the small lever on the right side (sorry, left-handed folks). It has a very short draw and is actually easier to prime than most RIVAL springers, and the build quality is that typical Nerf "premium" we expect. The Sideswipe's grip is actually quite comfortable and its unique ergonomics actually work in its favor to make it easy to hold and move around. While the Sideswipe lacks and tactical rails, it has an integrated hard sight and the smooth lines make it rather pleasing to look at compared to the more "industrial" RIVAL blasters.I would be remiss not to speak on the core feature of the Curve Shot blasters, that being the adjustable barrel to allow shots to "arc" around corners. By simply twisting the barrel left or right you can make the Sideswipe's shots curve slightly in either direction. This feature works reasonably well, though admittedly this is something you can do with most RIVAL blasters by simply tipping them to the side, though the feasibility of doing so varies widely. Aside from this fun feature, the Sideswipe has traditionally solid RIVAL performance, with decent accuracy and power. Its internal magazine can hold 12 rounds, and is easy to reload via an access port on the left side.Overall, the Sideswipe is a very decent offering for the price with some fun play potential, though it's a bit large for what it offers and so is probably not a great pick for the competitive Nerfer.

Tons of funo
We got two of these extra ammo and a zombie target. Four adults and two teens had a LOT of fun. For well less than $100 we had a great time.

Sniper status achieved
It works VERY well and almost always hits its target! Although the curve isn’t as good as I thought

Doesn't live up to the hype
Jams up every sixth or seventh time. The curve shot barely works, even under zero wind conditions. I wasn't expecting magic, but at least something noticeable. Save your cash and get a solid motorized blaster instead.

De las mejores Rival
Este blaster es bastante bueno para el precio que pagas además que es ergonómico, tiene buen material de construcción y es muy divertido poder tirar las bolas curvas en un gran rango, feliz por la adquisición.

works great with official nerf rival rounds, but not always with off brand ones
works great with official nerf rival rounds, but not always with off brand ones. not really a fault of the blaster but even the off brand round work in my kronos with out issue. if you only use nerf rounds you'll be finethe curve gimmick works but only at longer ranges and isn't a very aggressive curveover all a good and fun blaster

check the alignment of the barrel
it arrived slightly damaged. kept on jamming and not firing. checked the nozzle at the end of the gun and it was slightly bent to the left like something put pressure on it. slightly unscrewed the screws and realligned the barrel and all was good. fires everytime without fail. the curve is pretty cool. definitely was worth getting when its on sale but shouldnt have to do any repairs to a new nerf gun. so if you have one that keeps jamming check that the barrel is completely aligned
