SYLVANIA DE3175 31mm Festoon LED Mini Bulb, White, 1 Bulb, Interior

Fits absolutely perfectly in my 2002 Lexus ES300. It lights up the interior super well compared to the old stock bulbs, but what I really appreciate is that it isn't aggressively blinding at night. It just gives off a nice, clean, and bright light without burning your retinas. Slipped right into the socket with zero issues. Great little upgrade!

This LED works fine if you install it the right way, as it has polarity. And unfortunately I don't see that been mentioned anywhere in the description. I almost returned it thinking it's defective until it crossed my mind to try it the other way. I'd also have liked to see the flux (lumens) mentioned in the description, so I can compare to others (although many of them from anonymous vendors are highly inaccurate). It also seems to be a little longer than the original, or maybe it's because it has small bulbs at the tips, it bends the contacts a little more, but still fits ok. Other than that it works fine and it is brighter than the LED my car came with.

Replaced the trunk (boot) and map lights in my 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Noticed a tiny spark when mounting the bulb to the trunk light, thought "oh ____" and sure enough, the vehicle would not start afterwards. Diagnosed that a 15A fuse had been blown, which I replaced in the engine compartment fuse box, dead car problem solved. So be sure to disconnect the trunk fixture from the vehicle electrical system before swapping bulbs. Concerning lighting performance, I found the new LED to be only slightly brighter than the OEM bulb. The lighting temperature (color of the light) was clearly much crisper and whiter, less warm, more pleasing and modern. The current draw is much lower than a filament bulb, but then again, trunk and map light aren't often used. Conclusion: Converting to this bulb is mostly aesthetic, do not expect a huge improvement in lumens output. You can also expect longer service life.

This bulb is ever so slightly longer than incandescent it replaced in a Nissan Sentra dome light. Also the butting ends are a bit over sized to fit into the holes on the terminals. It is so close, you can make it work. It almost feels likes SAE vs metric unit conversion type of issue. You may have to bend out the terminals to fit, if the fixture has additional space and the terminal is malleable. I had the bulb falling out every time the door closed, or the car hit a bump. But with some assertiveness, you can secure the bulb. Unlike the incandescent, you must ensure proper polarity, otherwise LED lights will not work. Positive terminal in the fixture can be identified by wire or switch connected upstream to it. Once everything is secure there is daylight brightness inside the cabin, which I highly recommend for finding items in darkness or reading maps etc.

I got the 31mm white dome light bulb. It is a true white and - while not as bright as I expected - I would say it is brighter (a tiny bit) than the cheap ones you can get. I had an issue with my last bulb (a cheap one) where the light would stay on very dim while driving around - not a big deal but it also had a blue tint despite claiming to be white. I am happy with this product - a pretty bright and true white bulb.
