Does this get mixed in with drive xlr 8 in the pump sprayer or do you apply after the drive is put down

Accepted Answer

It must be mixed in the solution before application to the weeds. Add about 1/3 of the water to the sprayer and then add the correct amount of Drive XLR 8. Shake this until it's well mixed. Then add the correct amount of Methylated Seed Oil to the mix together with the remaining 2/3rds amount of water. Shake/mix thoroughly.ALSO: while applying the spray to weeds remember to shake the container every few minutes to keep the solution evenly mixed during application!

do you spray the intier yard are just the crab grass spot itself

As long as we're not talking an acre or more, just the crabgrass.    Be careful that you use just a "squirt" of spray just on the crabgrass.    If you use to much, because it is powerful stuff, it will take out whatever you spray.

Q: Mixed with xlr8, is this seed oil safe on lawns? I've used XLR8 with no problem on my lawn but want to make sure this additive is also safe.

What dilution rate do you use?  I know it says 0.4 - 1.5 oz per 1,000 sq.ft but how does that translate to oz per gallon?

I use MSO with Drive XLR8 herbicide (Quinclorac) for Crabgrass control in my Zoysia lawn. I spot spray with a one (1) gallon mixture of 3-1/2 tablespoons Quinclorac, 1-1/2 tablespoons MSO (methylated seed oil) and water. Mix this THOROUGHLY and shake the sprayer tank every few minutes while spraying to keep the mixture well agitated. This has given me good results - provided the soil is moist and the grass is growing well. If the grasses are even mildly drought-stressed I've experienced poor results with Quinclorac.
