Yes I use it on my daughter's hair with rosemary oil and it does wonders for their thick hair

There's no additional water, this is like 99.7% pure aloe juice. The ingredients list is as follows: Organic whole leaf aloe vera juice, citric acid, aloe polymax+ (polysaccharide extract), less than 0.1% (each) potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate used as preservatives. The company says this about the polysaccharide extract: "#1 in Polysaccharide Content. Scientific studies show polysaccharides to be responsible for many of aloe's health benefits. Nature's Way Aloe Vera is enhanced with Aloe PolyMax+ ( a proprietary aloe polysaccharide extract), making it the most potent and effective source of natural aloe polysaccharides.
