How well do these block out conversation? Can you sit in a coffe shop, subway or with rambunctious loud kids and have quiet solitude to focus on work?

They are not noise cancelling. You can still hear conversations if they are close to you. They are design to protect your hearing from loud burst such as gun fire.

I would like to use this at a library to study quetly. Would it hurt my head if I wear for a long time (around 8 hours)?

I think they are the most comfortable noise suppressors I have ever worn and most of the time find myself forgetting I have them on at all! So yes, your butt might hurt from 8 hours in the library, but your head won't.

I checked fakespot and the reviews here are 90% fake. can a real customer tell me if these work?

There is absolutely no way that these are 34 dB. Doesn't matter if the reviews are legit or not, the product does not work as advertised. The real dB is probably somewhere around 22.

Has anyone used these while shooting an AR 15, and if so, how well do they cancel out the noise?

I have and they worked great. Noise was at a comfortable level after shooting most of the afternoon, including an AR 15.
