Maps International Giant World Map - Classic Large World Map Poster - Laminated - 46 (h) x 77.5 (w)

Amazing quality and size. I love the colors and detail, plus the extremely large size. I set up by myself using heavy duty double sided tape, keeping one half rolled up and balanced by a tall stack of books. I get so many compliments on it too. 1000/10

We love this giant laminated world map from Maps International. My cousin has her walls papered with an enormous map from National Geographic. Though beautiful and amazing -- this slightly smaller and laminated one works better for our frequent moves and homeschooling. But by slightly smaller? It's still huge. Look at the measurements in the listing and then measure the wall where you want to put it. We hung it on our wall using 3M velcro tabs. This allowed us to adjust it to get it straight and not put any holes in the map or the wall. We use the world and US maps almost daily as we homeschool. Just this week we read about Marco Polo -- and used a wet erase marker to show the beginning of his journeys. We used a little book sticky arrow to show where Christina Rossetti lived. And we traced the route of Vasco Da Gama around the Cape of Great Hope. We move frequently, and so we look at the US map and talk about where each family member lives -- it helps the kids feel connected. Because of its size, it might not be the best purchase for every family -- but it is my favorite homeschool purchase of the past year!

I realized I only knew 27 countries and wanted to fix that immediately. After looking through the many ugly, classroom map listings, I was pleased to find this one! When the package arrived, I taped it to my bedroom wall so I could look at it when falling asleep, and wake up to double check if I still remembered certain countries. I recommend people who are considering getting this map to double check the text of country and city names in the product images: the spelling may not be what you're used to.

Beautiful

We constantly stare at our map which we have hung prominently in our living room. It's thinly laminated which is wonderful as it protects it from fingerprints. The size is such that lots of details are included. The coloring of countries and lines marking borders are clear and easy to read. I have found small misplacements of cities but nothing of great importance. Highly recommend!

We bought this map for our 7-year-old map lover with an aviation-themed bedroom. It is huge and takes up a good bit of the wall, which we wanted it to do. The size makes it fun and easy to locate places on the map. It blends well with decor because of the muted colors. It is laminated and comes well-packaged, but as expected, it does not come with any mounting materials. We used java gel stain stain on 2 1x1 boards, stapled to the backs of the tops and bottom, with 4 saw-tooth hangers across the top for a vintage/classroom feel. As a homeschool family, I am considering purchasing a second one for our home classroom/study area.

I love this map!! My kids can eat and ask questions, plan the next family trip, daydream- so many great conversations start with a map.

Love this map. I put it up in my high school classroom and the kids are really into it. We used poster command strips and washi tape. The map is the perfect size and it's really cool that you can write and erase on it with dry erase markers. Love that the countries on the edges are also repeated on the other side for ease of reading and geographic context. Too many maps cut those countries and lands masses off or only partially show them. The colors of the classic map are perfect, too. Very pleasant and still easy to read. Highly recommend this map if you're looking for a big map for a classroom or even your home.

Très belle carte

Vackra färger. Harmonisk

I was happy for the map, but I was expect bigger, otherwise it is what I expected

I bought this map for my office wall to start marking off the places I’ve visited, and it’s exactly what I wanted! It’s huge, which saved me a bit of painting (bonus!), and the laminated finish makes it strong and durable. The print is clear and easy to read, and it adds a great focal point to the room. Perfect for travel enthusiasts or anyone wanting a statement piece!
