Z-CoiL Men's Outback Pain-Relief Footwear, Safety Toe, Enclosed Coil

I have been purchasing z coil boots for my son for years after an auto accident left his heel crushed. He was unable to work until I found Z Coil. He loves them!

The pain relief from plantar fasciitis was fast and has lasted years. I only wear z-coil shoes or boots. If the pain relief was the only thing I was rating the shoe on it would receive a five plus. The sole is very thin and if you do not have an expert cobbler in your town you are out of luck getting a new sole on the shoe. The less than 3/16th inch thin sole on a hiking shoe/boot is at best ridicules. It has cost a point in the rating now, it is down to a four. The built-in flex line may promote a natural rolling gait but the flex line is a point of catastrophic failure in the shoe. Another point down it is at a three now. This pair has not broken other z-coil shoes have broken in half at the flex line.If you are in pain I say get these you will love them, but do not expect them to last like a pair of good riding or work boots where you can have heals and soles replaced over and over again.

I have plantar fasciitis, I have $1,200 orthotics and tried many different shoes for heel pain. My steel toe shoes fell apart, so I spent time looking for another choice. The z coils are the best so far. The only problem is the foam covers do not work with paint. I work at a paint company so I ruined the foam covers.

They fit ok with original insoles, snug in the toe area with new insoles

Don’t buy this shoe. The composite toe has a lip protruding a bit inside the shoe causing continuous friction against the toes while walking, very dangerous for those of sensitive toes or diabetics like myself. Couldn’t wear it for more than 30 minutes. Additionally as the shoe is heavy with long heal you can’t avoid dragging it on the ground all the time. I could only avoid that by raising my knee every step which is an awkward movement. This is not a shoe you can live with, unfortunately total waste of money.

Have 2 pair boots 1 pair shoes and the outback hiker love them all. Can wear my boots all day on cement floor in my motorcycle shop no problem, have artificial knees and helps on that also, and a very bad back.
