fantastic camera purchased used
first of all this was purchased from good stuff who stated the quality was good. The quality was in fact perfect! they stated it would come with the memory card and batteries only but they also included the camera strap and lens cover so i was pleasantly surprised i did not have to buy these seperately. The price was unbelievable for the condition of the camera. i will certainly buy more items from Good Stuff. they are extremely fair and reputable.this is a camera that is very easy to use and still delivers very good quality picture and i have in fact already enlarged and framed 2 of my pictures with no loss of sharpness or quality. Very pleased with my purchase!

great camera if you don't want to step up all the way to a professional model
We take a lot of pictures. We like to do more than just 'point and shoot' cameras can do, but it's nice to have a camera that doesn't take a while to learn. This camera gives you a lot of manual adjustment capability when you want it, and great pictures when you just want to play around. The optical zoom on this thing is incredible. This was taken the very first night we had the camera.

A very good camera for the price
I am mostly writing this review for the people that have had trouble connecting the phone to a smart device to transfer the pictures. The camera is a good camera. It has a glass zoom lens. It's a good zoom lens. It takes good pictures. At the price point you really can't beat it for picture quality. And features. Now to the wireless... It does wirelessly link to anything. But you absolutely have to install the snapbridge app on the device you're trying to link two. That's available for the Apple iPhone or in the Android store. I have personally tried it with a Samsung S7 and a Kindle Fire 8.0 with the Google Play Store work around installed. It will connect with your smart devices. But your smart devices need to be running snapbridge. Snapbridge at this point is an inexcusable bad and clunky app. But truth be told, it will get the job done. And you always have the cable in her face from the camera if you can't figure it out.Mine came with four double A Copper Top name brand batteries. Not sure if this is standard or not. But definitely no memory card. It comes with the batteries, the strap in the lens cap and that's it. You'll need to buy a memory card. Also the case. And install snap Bridge

Still One of Nikon Coolpixs Best
My first Coolpix gave out after 9 years of moderate and all-weather use. I am very pleased with my new B500. The operational lay out is for the most part identical to my previous CoolPix. Nice to not have a new learning curve to go through. My only complaint would be the absence of the view finder---you now have to rely on the LED screen. In sunny conditions you get a lot of glare/fade out on the 2" screen. A very nice product with lots of quality and at a very reasonable cost.

Broken refurbished cool pic camera that does not work!
I purchased this product as a used refurbished camera. It does not work! It will allow you to take about a dozen photos then everything stops working. It does not change from telephoto to wide angle. It sticks. You can take a photo, you can’t turn it off. When it is stuck the only way to get operational is to open the battery door. Then you can take maybe three or four photos before it sticks again. I am so sorry I WASTED any money on this useless camera. I have had and worn out several other cool pix camera and loved them. I should have returned the camera when it was first not working but I did not. MY FAULT! I will never purchase a refurbished product from Amazon again, since it seems there is no quality control or oversight! Thought you should know!

Outstanding Value
This camera is the bomb. It has every feature I wanted, and none that I didn't. It's easy to use and produces beautiful pictures. I'd been so frustrated lately trying to find a simple point-and-shoot that wasn't overloaded with gimmicky features. I used to be a professional photographer and I'd always used Canon equipment (my first was a 1981 AE-1 Program), but lately I've been thoroughly disappointed with the Canon point-and-shoot cameras I've tried. They rely WAY too much on wi-fi and Bluetooth features and tons of onboard software that is buggy, slow, and frequently nonfunctional. I don't need any of that--give me a camera that's geared toward gorgeous photos and simple controls, and just a USB cable for download. (This camera does use Nikon's Snapbridge app, which I have not set up because I don't care.) This is my first Nikon, and all I can say is, what took me so long? It not only takes stunning photos but is a work of art in and of itself. Could not be happier at this price point.

Really like this camera
I bought this camera for a trip to Eastern Europe and I took approximately 800 photos on one fresh set of batteries so that was a nice surprise. The light compensation setting worked really well and the focus is generally good although there were many times I wished I was able to use a different lens for filtering, etc. The zoom is really good. All in all, this is a great little camera and I am very pleased with most of the photos. The nighttime shots of the chain bridge and parliament building in Budapest turned out really beautiful. When taking spontaneous photos you do have to take into account the delay between the time you push the button to take the photo and the time it actually takes the shot. I feel it is a little bit long but once you adjust to the timing you can work with it.
