Fantastic book!
You can find the patterns at this address! [...] I love this book! No, it isn't cluttered up with a wad of folded tissue paper pattern pieces for me to unfold and sort out. The PDF pattern format is by far my preferred method of sewing. I can print out only the pieces I need, when I need them. I never have to worry about losing pieces or tracing pieces or only being able to cut out one size. I find it much easier to print a few sheets of paper and tape them together. If I lose a pattern, I can print a new one. The author Carla Hegeman Crim has been my favorite designer for many years now. Her instructions are clear and thoughtful and so easy to understand. This book has so many options of fun hats to make. I look forward to years of hat making ahead of me!

Link To Patterns No Longer Exists!!
I bought this as I needed patterns for some simple hats. I bought it new here at Amazon, was surprised to find it contains no patterns, but a link to their patterns. Figuring I could have saved money by having the link I was already mad, then when I typed in the link, nothing but a broken one. Wiley.com is not there anymore, and the link in book goes to a Wileycrafts.com, which gave me info on floods and flood damage. Am returning for a refund.

A book for every hat loving seamtress.
I purchased this book quite some time ago when it was still sold by Wiley. At the time I had trouble finding all the PDF file hat patterns but was able to download all of them by searching. The book is excellent, containing a wide range of hats for everyone from babies to adults and all seasons. I did find some of the patterns a little too snug when made in my size, so would need to go to the next size up. Take time to measure both the head circumference and the pattern. I an looking forward to making more hats from this book. For those who are reading the reviews saying that you can no longer get the patterns, they are all available as PDF downloads at the Turner Publishing site. A simple search brought them up. One reader keeps listing a link to the patterns that is not quite correct as the link she provides is for a zip file, which doesn't exist. Each pattern is a separate PDF file. You can download them at this link: http://www.turnerpublishing.com/sewn-hats/. If you enjoy making and wearing hats, buy the book and go download the patterns.

Lovely book
The hobby of the week is hats! And SEWN HATS has so many hints and tips and tricks for me to make any kind of hat to fill every hat desire I have. The patterns are simple and clever. Although that patterns aren't included have its hits and misses. If you don't have constant access to a printer and computer, this book may not be for you, unless you're not lazy like me and can draft evey single pattern. I do appreciate that because the patterns are online and can be saved onto a desktop, there is less paper waste out there and I only need to print the patterns to the hats that I want. There is a hat for every season and flair options for every style. I look forward to a whole new world of hat wear opening up for me!

Awesome Book!
I got this a few weeks ago and am super excited to get to work on this! I just wish I had time to sit down and sew! This book is great and has such detailed instructions on how to sew each and every hat. And there are SO MANY DIFFERENT HATS to choose from!!!!!Carla strikes again and oh boy! this time with hats!FYI, all the patterns are downloadable, not in the book, but, let me tell you how awesome this is. This means that when you've used the pattern until it is falling to pieces, you just recycle it and print it out again! I love printing my own patterns. Plus, with Carla's books, she gives you SO many options on each item, that you find yourself printing things multiple times anyway!

Another great book from my fav designer!
I was excited to learn Carla has another sewing book to add to my collection! I'm a big fan of her E-book patterns, and this is a great collection of all sorts of hat patterns from different designers. Having the patterns available in downloadable PDF format is a great addition to my sewing library, I can print off only the size I need and reprint if needed, no flimsy tissue patterns! And because each pattern has multiple descriptive photos with the instructions, each one is a mini sewing lesson.

Great book - unaccessible patterns
The book is great, love the hats and want to make some but the website for the patterns is unaccessible which makes the book a great picture book but worthless for projects.

This is a generous rating. I purchased the e-book ...
This is a generous rating. I purchased the e-book with the understanding that there was a link to a site where the patterns could be downloaded. I was and am still unable to link to any site in order to get the patterns that are referenced in the book. I strongly suggest that Amazon check to the validity of the resources that are listed in the books they offer. I hope that I will be refunded for my purchase or that I can get the information I need to access the patterns for the hats described in this book.
