I purchased this dinner set because of a 'bad review' that said they held the heat for too long - well, this is a sign of a very good quality plate/dish so I popped them straight in to my basket and haven't looked back since! They are surprisingly heavy compared to the cheap dinner set I have previously been using and the glazing in fantastic on all of the plates/bowls. They do indeed stay warm for so much longer than my old plates so no more cold meals for me!

Absolutely stunning color and glaze! These are just beautiful, though the colour differs just a bit from what I see on my computer. I see a very deep blue on the images here, and the actual product has a slight teal hue in the blue -- which is even better. I think they are gorgeous. Other pluses: I like the rim on the plates (that's what makes it a "coupe" plate; I had to look that up!), which keeps gravy or sauces from sloshing off the side when carrying, and I really love the bowl size. Most set bowls are too shallow or too small for our typical needs, but these are just right for soup, cereal, noodle or rice dishes, etc. The small plate is also a very handy size for many instances in which the dinner plate would be overkill, but you need something larger than a saucer. These details please me very much, but the beauty is what makes me happy every time I look at them. I should also mention packaging: I don't know if it's standard, or if mine was packed especially well because I'm in another country, but the packing was VERY careful. First the items were well packed in the original box from Denby, then this was surrounded by airbag cushion wrap inside another box, which was inside *another* box with crumpled paper cushion. Not a scratch. If I come across any negatives, I will update this review, but I'm 100% happy so far, and loving this set.

These dishes are well-made, heavy, and have become our new "formal" set (we gave away our Royal Doulton china as it didn't match our newer decor). The plates and bowls are sturdy, microwave and dishwasher safe. Excellent quality product as it is European-made.

Just opened my parcel of the Denby dinner service. To say that it is absolutely stunning is an understatement, the photos really don't do it justice. So happy with this set, one that I know will last for such a long time and one that is British made. Ordered second one.
