Quick and easy to replace. No instruction, old one came out in pieces lubed (included) this one and 5 minutes later done. Rather expensive but replacing the value is over 150. Have no idea of durability at this point, hopefully 4 years plus.

I guess these are made to keep pipes from bursting. They are expensive for what they are, but guess it’s easier/cheaper than replacing pipes. Make sure you wrap your pipes before winter, and/or you no longer use the sprinkler system for the year. Made that mistake and the next door neighbor was not happy. Easy to install. Don’t cheap out and get the blue one. It lasted half as long and broke in mild weather. I met the president who happened to be in the Houston store, nice guy. They have that stupid and meaningless California Proposition sticker on them. The problem is only two companies make these, so I guess we will all die of cancer if we have a sprinkler system, according to California. Make sure to get a spare, as these sell out quick when first frost comes.

If you have hard water, repairing the bonnet is simple routine maintenance every 3 or 4 years. The o rings wear out, you start to leak. You try to unscrew the bonnet and it disintegrates. The same happens with less hard water but for hard water you simply expect this as routine maintenance.Takes all of 5 minutes to do the job and everything you need is included. The warranty is nice. For me, it either works or it doesn't. I'm not chasing a warranty in the 3rd year.Good kit, all included, simple to perform the repair.

If your unit has a leak or drip, this is most likely the only kit you will need. These parts will last for years and are easy to replace. Plenty of UTube vids to show you what to do. What will kill the plastic part of the valve kit prematurely are freezing temps and sand or particles in water supply that can embed in the rubber seals. The repair can easily last 10 yrs as mine has. What will extend the life of the ball valves are to periodically turn them off and on at least once a year, preferably 2-3 times. This was the best price I have found for the kit, but still too expensive.

I bought this for a replacement for the one that broke when it froze. Was easy to install and fit perfectly.
