As the seller described it, this ring is a 2mm wide silver band with a design on it. When it arrived, the whole thing was black, and the design wasn't visible at all. I gently polished it with a cloth, and now the design is visible, but only when photographed and blown up. To the naked eye, it simply looks textured.The central problem I have with this ring, beyond having to polish it straight out of the box, is that it's not smooth on the edges! It grabs at my skin when I slide it on. That's a very annoying trait in a ring, eh? And so, all told, I would recommend against this ring unless the price drops precipitously and you're willing to sand it. I think I'm going to return it. I'd rather spend a few dollars more for a higher quality ring.

The swirls engraved on it are nice. Do order up 1 size because it does run a bit small. I wear a 6, ordered a 7, and it fits on my size 6 finger. Also comes in a very nice gift box if you would like to give as a gift.

I orded a size 7 but the actual size is 6.5. I have a ring sizer and measured it since I could not get it over my knuckles. Is still very beautiful.

This ring is dainty looks delicate but it's solid.
