You can customize the name of each camera to track which camera you want to view easily. **Q: Does the camera need both the phone adapter and solar panel power for the camera?** A: There is no 'phone adaptor', if you are talking about a 110v wall plug/USB adaptor but you can buy one, they're cheap and use it with this camera. I have one mounted inside my house using this set-up. The back of the camera has a mini USB port and a cable is supplied but if you need a longer cable to reach your outlet it will work and they too are cheap. Mounted outside with their solar panel you don't need the supplied cable as the solar panel has its own. One end it permanently built into the panel and the other end has a mini USB to go into the back of your camera. I don't know how long the solar panel cable is but every one I use I have to roll up and tuck in because they are plenty long. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality camera. *by J***. on August 6, 2025* Was looking for a camera to install inside of the garage. Had hoped the manufacturer of the current camera system had released the expanded hub but so far they have not.A coworker told me of Reolink and he uses them for both his house as well as cabin. He liked the fact that they have internal storage up to 128Gb, were WiFi, and did NOT require a hub or an account. So decided to give this specific model a try as it is barely noticeable in the upper corner of a white wall.Setting it up was a bit more of a challenge than the original system. Once set up, it was quite easy to work with and manage.A key feature is the camera can be set up for either 2.4GHz or 5GHz networks. Original system cannot do that. Another key feature for the security minded is the cameras can be password protected. As a former IT manager, this is VERY important to me.This camera is being used indoors so that means I need to monitor the battery life and charge it on occasion. May just run a cable over to leave connected to the charger. A minor downside is you have to use a Type A - Type C charging cable (theirs). I would prefer to use a Type C- Type C.So far, the pros outweigh the cons by so much that a 2nd has been ordered (the full kit) so that I can place it to cover a blind spot. The full kit includes the solar panel. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than others *by A***R on December 29, 2024* So I have cheaper Camaras currently and they just miss some motion due to the delay in turning on so it's gotten pointless. I tried the tapo Camara by tp link (C425) but it wouldn't stay connected to the Internet. I spent hours trying to get it to work and then returned them. The reolink Argus 3 Pro was just as easy if not easier to setup and is always connected. I've had it for over 24 hours and have put it through some testing.You will need an SD card to see time stamps and footage without paying for a plan. I like that I don't have to pay for this feature. The timers still turn the Camara on when there is motion, but it won't alert you. The Camara not only picks up motion, but sound which I really like. It hasn't disconnected once on me. The alert is delayed a few seconds, but the recording is not. It starts recording before I get the alert. Battery seems fine. I put it through quite the day with testing and messing with settings and drained the battery maybe 12%, but that was with a whole day of checking on it and messing with it. The app isn't as good as tp links, but gets the job done. I think there is room for improvement in this area, but it's not bad at all. Overall, it's better than my zumimall cameras and better than the tapo ones. I just ordered two more because this thing is sweet! Hopefully I don't have to charge it every week or I may buy the solar panel for the outside ones.Edit: I'm adding screenshot of the battery life for all 3 Camara's. One is in my sons room, one at the front door, and one in my back yard. This will alow you to see how many minutes it spent on and recording and where the life is now. I have all the Camara's on the high resolution setting. I am placing my sons Camara on the charger now that it's below 20%. Front door and backyard are fine, even through the heavy use during the break my kids had. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good camera, good APP *by D***. on September 1, 2022* An easy APP to use. I have 2 cameras on this APP (both REOLINKs), and going into 'Immersive' mode, you can see both at the same time, live. Night vision is OK, not perfect, but good enough. I don't know why it takes ALL of these (not just REOLINKs, but others I have too), take so long to initiate the recordings once motion is detected. By the time the recording starts, the activity is over. I have motion lights that kick on instantly when motion is detected, so why doesn't the camera? This camera has clear video, and the recordings are not choppy. I've also used their tech support when I had some difficulty with one connecting, and they were helpful. I can't go 5 stars on ANY of these cameras due to their late recording starts after motion is detected. You'd think they would have this perfected by now. I have a few other cameras of different brands, but so far, I like these REOLINKs better, and it's because the APP is easy to use, and the ability to view multiple locations at once. What I haven't found in the APP however, is where to DELETE videos to free up space on the micro-SD card. Not a deal breaker, but it would be helpful. Overall, a good camera to have. One more thing, if you have trouble with remote access, check your router's firewall settings, and make sure UDP is set to a lower level, or OFF.
