Good quality ferrite magnets; it pays to go with a known quantity rather than random grades which can be weaker, or lose their magnetization more easily. Grade C8 is roughly equivalent to Y8T or Y10T in the current rating system.As a quick test, 1 disc was more than sufficient to "pin" a thick mailer and envelope weighing 27g to my refrigerator with pull to spare, and 2 discs directly stuck to the fridge supported a load of 172g without sliding. 1 disc was also able to grab and hold an 82g screwdriver fairly securely to itself. If you're using these to hold tools or knives be aware that not all steels are strongly drawn to a magnet: many types of stainless steel are either significantly weaker or basically not attracted at all.The beveled edge is a must-have; too many other "craft magnets" come right off the bandsaw without any smoothing or cleanup and that leaves them with a brittle, fragile, unfinished edge that's prone to breaking and creating magnetic grit. If you only anticipate gluing this to the back of a knickknack and leaving it in one single spot on a refrigerator door for years, maybe you don't need the bevel. If you anticipate handling these or moving them from spot to spot even a little regularly, though, it's essential for both keeping the magnet in one piece and not scratching any finish you stick these to.The dimple on the north pole is also very nice to have and doesn't appreciably affect the pull force on that face.They're not going to be as ridiculously strong as neodymium magnets, but that relative weakness is also one of their strengths. Even in larger sizes, ferrite magnets are safe to handle without raising blood blisters or snapping delicate bones. And these will not snap together with enough force to shatter themselves into splinters! These are far better as "fidget" magnets or toys in their own right than neodymium magnets.They are also more corrosion resistant (neo mags have a high native iron content and will rust if constantly exposed to moisture; the iron oxide in these ferrite magnets is chemically similar to rust and so can't really corrode under normal conditions, even if immersed in water) and don't have that delicate nickel plating which can flake off. You can even use them inside an oven where a neodymium magnet would be rendered inert from the heat (ask me how I know) since the working temperature of ferrites is higher. They should be safe at least up to 180C/350F without losing strength.These arrived in a flimsy cardstock box that had disintegrated during shipping, but they were also sandwiched between two slabs of styrofoam that prevented any noticeable breaks or fractures. I did not have the problem with the magnets arriving broken like some reported.They did arrive with a bit of "magnet dust" all over them, but not nearly as much as many "craft magnets" I've purchased from blister packs in retail stores. A little light handling, washing, or quick passes with scotch tape will clean them right up if you need them dust-free. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for small resin pieces *by N***C on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2021* These are strong enough for resin magnets. I used E6000 glue and put the side with the small hole down onto the resin. They work great on a fridge and hold up nicely.One thing I wasn't expecting is the combination of E6000, resin, and a heavy magnet causes the magnets to slide around during the drying process. So you have to watch that until the glue dries. Not the magnets fault, just something I didn't know would happen!The hearts pictures are about 1.5"x1.5" so these magnets are perfect size for them!Note: I have not used the 3M backing they provided. I don't trust the longevity of it on the resin and opted for epoxy glue instead. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Like the strength *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2021* Would like them better if there were equal stickers to amount of magnets. Also, stickers very difficult to figure out how to get paper off.
